Okay - finally I'm getting around to responding to my tag. Thanks, Manal. The rules are list six things that most people don't know about you and then go tag six of your friends and ask them to do the same.

1. I live in a rabbit hole. What this means is I live on a small farm in the middle of nowhere and I don't have TV (I do have a DVD machine for training with Les Mills) and live about 40 miles from anything sizable (if you count Madison as sizable), so I'm incredibly out of touch with popular culture. When I was in DC recently and talking with some girlfriends I had to bow out of a conversation for not knowing about the show the room, or the view or something like that. When there was a 100 car pile-up on the interstate near my home, I heard about it from my sister in Jacksonville. That's what the rabbit hole means. Just call me Alice.

2. I was a vegetarian for about ten years.

3. My deer rifle is a Winchester 30 lever action. Points 2 and 3 are actually related. I also support Community Supported Agriculture and believe that both eating and breathing have the potential to be sacred acts - though we frequently disconnect from these things.

4. I play paintball like I've got something stupid to proove. My moniker is Happy Feet.

5. I give my dog George a shot in the hide every morning (and then grab a Fosters for myself - kidding!). He has heart failure caused by endocarditis as of April of 06. At that time they gave him six months at the outside - if he got out of the hospital at all. The big jerk is still going strong so now I'm stuck with two ill behaved labradors (the other one is Gus).

6. My next marathon is Grandma's in Duluth, MN. I'm totally unprepared, but it's not until June, so maybe I'll pull it together.

7. Yes - we get a bonus factoid. I've been married for 12 years to my high school sweetheart. He's intimately linked to most of what is listed above.

Coming up next for me - I'm going through Pump training in early February. What on earth am I thinking?
* * * * * * * * * *

My first Les Mills Program and teaching experience was certifying in BodyBalance/Body Flow. I now teach Yoga and BodyAttack, as well. The best combination there is!

I'm also an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and love training and teaching classes at Prairie Athletic Club in Sun Prairie Wisconsin.

I've done a few marathons and some distance cycling, but consider myself to be a remarkably ungifted athlete.

In my "real life", I'm a Masters Level Mental Health Social Worker and work in the field of advocacy and program development for runaway and homeless youth in Wisconsin and maintain a part-time private practice in mental health therapy.

No children, just my husband, Nate, and my two chocolate Labs, Gus and George.

Hello from Texas!

Hey Joli, So sorry that it has taken me a month to write back to you, been busy with the March holidays, last month's Q, work, b-day reminders and such and still very busy. Well, Happy Very Belated Easter to you too! Also Thank you for the compliment, your info and sending Mari a message too! Mine is Nov.26th, don't have room to put it on my profile ;-) BTW, Your pics are cute and I enjoyed reading your profile especailly what you do for the youth in Wisconsin, such wonderful dedication you have. Well I do hope to meet ya at a LM Quarterly someday soon. Now the good thing about not having a TV is you do not have to watch the news that seems to broadcast nothing but depressing information. So how's the weather up there now and have you been to Texas? Hope to hear back from ya soon.

Hugs, Crazy Carol

Hey lady!
Thanks for checking in. I did a "test video" for Attack yesterday. I was happy with it, although I didn't look perfect with my technique. But I think I'm passable. I feel much better about Attack than I did a month ago.
I just noticed that you're a Social Worker! I'm an honorary one (the 2 ladies I work with are MSW's). I have a Master's in Counseling Psych and work with bereaved children and teens via our local hospice and LOVE it! I've put licensure on hold for now, mostly because I want to pursue "gym stuff" i.e. personal training and teaching more group fitness classes.
Too bad we don't live near each other, because I would love to sit down with you and chat over coffee.
Did you just go to Pump certification? That's my first love!
Have a great weekend!

Yes, I have your certificate and I would be more than happy to mail to you. It was such a pleasure to have you in class. Many of the other participants were talking about how they enjoyed your instructing style and hope to be that comfortable some day. Stopped at Adventure 212 this morning on my way out of town and had a chance to see Julie. She had just finished team teaching and the members couldn't say enough about her great instruction!!! All Good!!! Thanks for being such an awesome inspiration for others during training and look forward to seeing you at the Quarterly!

Fantastic stuff!! You are really becoming a seasoned instructor girl. I am glad you got your BP - that is so important to have. It's a tough weekend - 3 days is an eternity when you're lifting weights the whole time! I am glad to hear it went well. I bet you were great.

Great new pics on your profile - keep up the passion and we'll talk soon. XO
