My Favourite Programs

Profile

My LM story...

Ok, so I was lucky enough to... come to Spain (Catalunya, to be more exact) and start postgraduate studies here... and have a fantastic gym literally just around the corner, where Les Mills classes are very much part of the offer. (I'm a Macedonian and none of these classes can be found anywhere near Skopje, the city I'm from and lived in)

February 2006 was the magical point in time, when I went to my very first Body Combat class and got completely hooked. 6 months later the gym introduced Body attack and needless to say I was there, "front row," to try it out. I loved its intensity and so my "LM addiction" was reinforced.
And, since I'm always up for variety, I am now doing Pump and Jam as well.

In any case, though I utterly enjoy all of the classes, Body Combat is by far my favourite, it is my drug.

I am more than sure that millions of people repeat the same thing, and I wish I could be more creative but the simple truth is: LM programmes are the best thing I have tried (and I have been exercising on regular bases since I was 15).
Such a pity the Balkan region (apart from Slovenia) is still not part of the Les Mills family, but... hey, maybe soon it will become.

Anyways, smiles and sunshine to everyone in this community.

Maria

ps. (june, 21st 2006) I JUST SAW THAT my gym GIMNAS GIRONA, has created a profile here. No details, which is a pity, but I'm guessing they're too busy... Still, nice to see them in this community.

And the latest...

(04/07/2008)
BB41 done, really love that Sun salutation
BP66 done, love those lunges and the shoulder track. Plus, Moby's song, wow!
BJ45 done. What a fun release. Amazing.

BA61 next week, and finally, BC36. Woohooo!

hey thanks for the message. Just got back from Spain on Sunday - took a few pump and combat classes there as well. Weather was certainly nicer. And catalunya is a lovely place, you're so lucky to be living there :)

That is quite far. I might do a bit of travelling around when I'm there but I don't know if I'd make it that far, but you never know.

I'm tempted to make my travel plans around what clubs do Bodycombat... Sad or what...

Hi Maria,

Thank for leaving your comment on my profile and it's good to meet someone with a good sense of humour. Whereabouts in Spain are you? I should be heading to Malaga for my holidays at the end of July/start of August. Last year I trained with Javi Yogi in his club while I was away.

We all get a little carried away with BC now and again don't we? No worries. Have a great week!

Maria,
Great response on the BC thread. It's always good to hear from the participants. I agree, personal preference should not be discussed in a class. As I said, as an instructor, give each song your all and teach the release as it is intended.
Hope all is well with you. You sound very busy! I'm jealous of your instructors! I love Barcelona, haven't been in a few years, but one of my all time favorite cities!

Hi Maria

Hope you are well. Have you found a job yet? There's always instructing until something else comes along. See you have been asked if you would like to instruct, that means you are obviously good at combat so why not give it a go. But you are the one that has to want it otherwise there's no point.

Take Care

Maria - it is a sign. Just do it - BC35 release is an awesome one to train too. I would love to do another program, but my main passion and focus is on Combat for the time being:) Hope you have a great weekend too and keep Jammin - Judith XXX

Hey Maria - when are you going to train to become an instructor?? It sounds like you really enjoy Combat and it took me years before I decided to train and now it's one of the best things I did since getting married. I hope all is well in Spain:)

Tee hee - it would have to be Easy Jet - I absolutely refuse to fly with Ryan Scare since they kidnapped me one day and I spent 9 months trying to get compensation out of them.......

Had a great Argentinian wine called Chivite - can't remember the grape though......
