• Re: Does your club control how many weeks you need to teach each release?

We have to keep the new release for 4 weeks and for me, 4 weeks is perfect. Personally, I think 2 weeks is way too short. For example, someone who only makes it once a week will only do a Pump release twice before they don't see it again for a while.........they barely even have a chance to get a feel for the release and the resistance they should ...

  • Re: BODYPUMP 69 PLAYLIST

mizmichelle73: I googled, I found, I'm jumping up and down! The shoulder track is one of my favorite songs. I listen to it on the elliptical over and over again. Now I have an excuse to listen to it all the time Michelle Basshunter are great, but the songs that are translated into English are so much weaker ...

  • Should you tell the class you're going on holiday?

Got an interesting question...do you tell your class if you're going on holiday and won't be around for a few weeks? I teach a Sunday morning class and from 5th April there is a national golf league I play in, which is for 5 weeks...6 including Easter Sunday. So I won't be around on a Sunday for quite some time. There's obviously a big difference ...

  • Re: Powerballs - used one? got one? got an opinion on them?

Yeh, they definitely help to strengthen your forearms and wrists. Also, depending on how you hold it and the position of your arm you can work your chest, triceps, biceps and shoulders as well. Some of them come with a counter and you can measure lots of different things. The cool ones are highest rpm achieved and the physical ...

  • Re: I think i have officially seen it all.........

I had somebody walk into a class with their iPod on!!!! I wasn't teaching, but I was thinking of walking over to him giving him a few (soft, non-violent) knocks on the head and saying ''Hello? Hello? Anybody home? Huh? Think, McFly. Think!''

  • Re: If you could only teach 5 tracks for a speciality class, which ones would you choose?

At my gym, when we do the release nights, we do half-hours of each program (helps make the evening more of an event). If you do the first 4 tracks, you're half hour is pretty much gone coz they are generally all between 5 and 6 minutes, plus you've got your banter+stretches in between tracks. So you're instantly up to 25-30 minutes with those ...

  • Re: Bodypump 64

I have to agree with Matt on this one! I really like the new tunes. It is very different to the last few releases, but I think that adds to the impact. It's ''game on'' right from the warmup - awesome way to start the workout! I'm also totally into the shoulder track, despite the choreography for the side raises being complex. I like the focus ...

  • Re: Overuse Injuries

There seems to be a recurring theme going on here. I have problems with my right shoulder occasionally. But they keep on coming and going. A number of weeks ago I obviously made a slightly wrong move during the chest track and hurt my front delt (I think). I felt a twinge and it didn't feel right. Didn't have any problems for the rest of the ...
