The suggestion about collars was actually to use an EXTRA set of collars on the inside of the plate to effectively lengthen the bar, then secure the plate with the regular collars on the outside, so it goes collar-plate-collar. I presume you mean like a 'trolley' that contains a complete kit for each person? So on entering the room, each person would grab a trolley, and wheel it to where they want to set up? If my interpretation is correct, I see 3 problems:
1. What would you do with the trolley once you'd unpacked it? Obviously it'd get in the way unless parked ...
