  • Shin Splints! OUCH

I'v been doing martial arts for 10yrs, and i just now got introduced to Body Combat through the YMCA in Texas, USA. I love it!!! I just ifnished my initial training, i wanted to die... 3500 calories burned on the second day. Anyway, i'm developing shin splints, where your muscle fibers are ripping away from the bone, literally, it hurts as bad as ...

  • BodyPump vs. Body Combat: to lose weight

Hi everyone, For the past two months ive been attending Body Jam (Once per week), Body Pump (Twice per week) and Body Combat (Once per week) classes on a regular basis. I was thinking of attending more classes and was wondering which option (combination of classes) will help me lose more weight/trim more inches. Option A:Three Body Pump, One ...

  • Is it safe to do Body Pump everyday?

Hey peeps, would like some advice please! Just wondering about this one.  I'm doing Body Pump 3x a week (M, W, F) with Body Combat the other days (I find the other classes boring to be honest). This has been going well, but I've hit a plateau. Problem is I find there is so much variance with the quality of Body Combat instructors here in ...

  • Rach and Dan, the Movie

Wouldn't it be great for the King and Queen of Combat to release a combat movie featuring all their marital art moves on vilians, the bad and down right ugly dirt-bags. A mixture of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and a little of Mortal Combat throwen in. Now that I would buy to see. YES or NO?

  • Re: What's the best thing a participant has said to you after class?

Thank you very mush for a hearty comment! This is the very answer that I really wanted most. You must be a natural entertainer and be highly talented. And I love talented people. As I'm just a participant, I'm always wondering whether it is appropriate or not to talk to the instructor just after the class. Of course, some of instructors are very ...

  • Re: What's the best thing a participant has said to you after class?

Thank you very much for a quick response! This night I'll have a BC class presented by one of my favaourite instructors. Usually, I just shake hands with him at the exit. But tonight, I'll try to say something nice if it helps to make the instructor and, of course, me to be happy.

  • Re: What's the best thing a participant has said to you after class?

As a shy participant, this thread is as informative and significant as ever.   After the class, just before the exit where the talented instructor is standing to greet, I always pretend to be indifferent! I bow politely without saying anything and at most shake his or her hand stretched towards me. What I really want to do is much ...

  • Instructors. How do you construct your mixes?

Just a thought on when you start to mix.  Do you:just throw in tracks that you or your participants like?mix to give a few older ones into the main release at the time.mix out the whole of the latest release.structure the mixes so as to give a balanced workout physically (i.e. do you look at a set list and think maybe I am working the legs ...

  • I am sorry, but Body Combat is really boring

It is now a month that our old FitBo course at Fitness First Germany has been substituted by this Body Cobat Course. I think that most of you are really excited by this course, but i really do not understand why and how. Since I've been going to my studio I enjoyed the creativity of our trainer Swen. His courses were just brilliant and the music ...
