I dont realy understand with ''what program am I doing i.e periodisation/resistance'', but perhaps my explanation bellow can give you a view.
I do my gym program started with warming up with small weights (high reps) until i get a bit warm, then continue with 4 core sets until I reached my max weights (finished with 4 reps only). ...

thanks for your reply. I have seeing the Australian swim team physio...and he only wants me to do isometic work & rotor cuff exercises...no weights at all.
Yes you are right about the resting but it doesn't help that I'm in week 3 (of 6 wks, hopefully) before I can come back to teach. I have to say that I'm getting depressed not ...

I have severe calcification of the supraspinatus tendon in my shoulder & have to have 6-8 wks off classes to see if the calcium re-absorbs. Has anyone else had this & if so, what exercises have you done so that you don't lose your strength?
