  • Should Instructors Change Choreography e.g. remove the rests from the tracks?

I'm a fairly experienced body pumper and have been doing a couple of classes a week for the last 2 or 3 years.  Now the gym I go to have some great instructors and I love their classes. Recently I've been working away from home and I've being going to the gym (same franchise) near to where I work and the instructors there change the routines ...

  • Body Pump + RPM + Regular Workout to gain mass ?

Hello everyone, I'm pretty much an RPM addict and more recently fell for Body Pump as well. Les Mills classes got me back into shape and most of all I have more kick than ever! I went from 24% body fat to 19% and still working my way down. I usually do 5 RPM/week and 3 Body Pump/week. I would like to integrate a more traditional workout to ...

  • How can you work in bodypump while doing crossfit?

I've become a really big fan of crossfit(www.crossfit.com).  Crossfit is where you do a lot of interval training in a short amount of time.  A sample crossfit workout might be to do following as many times possible for 20 minutes:  1/4 mile run,  10 pushups, 12 kettleball high pulls, and 15 reverse crunches.  I've ...

  • Is it safe to do Body Pump everyday?

Hey peeps, would like some advice please! Just wondering about this one.  I'm doing Body Pump 3x a week (M, W, F) with Body Combat the other days (I find the other classes boring to be honest). This has been going well, but I've hit a plateau. Problem is I find there is so much variance with the quality of Body Combat instructors here in ...

  • Re: anyone had calcium deposits in shoulder?

thanks for your reply.  I have seeing the Australian swim team physio...and he only wants me to do isometic work & rotor cuff exercises...no weights at all. Yes you are right about the resting but it doesn't help that I'm in week 3 (of 6 wks, hopefully) before I can come back to teach.  I have to say that I'm getting depressed not ...

  • anyone had calcium deposits in shoulder?

I have severe calcification of the supraspinatus tendon in my shoulder & have to have 6-8 wks off classes to see if the calcium re-absorbs.  Has anyone else had this & if so, what exercises have you done so that you don't lose your strength?
