I am not an instructor, but a gym member who loves Body Flow (started last year). Since I have young children, sometimes I find it hard to make the class and we don't have it that often at our gym. I noticed that instructors sell Body Flow DVD/CDs (and other classes) on EBAY. It's tempting to purchase (although expensive), but I don't feel ...

duncanc:
I love the relaxation, I would be happy to follow the format as set by LMI but my employer has directed me otherwise...
I would love to know who's bright idea it was to have a 45 minute format in the first place!!
So what I do, is all the tracks and skip the relaxation... this is what the members are used from when I took over ...

As instructors and as a participant we are vulnerable to suggestion through the programs we teach and participate in.
Going into an environment where you intend to be open to new ideas and habits, doing things repetitively and rhythmically over weeks and months. Conditioning is what's happening so what if someone were to take advantage of ...

hmm... I thought about ordering them all, but I'm trying to save a little money. My training is actually out of my area (I didn't want to wait another 6 mo. to take it!) so I'm spending a small fortune on travel, hotel, etc.
But, I don't think I will be able to purchase previous releases after the fact, correct?
So tell me why 35 was your ...

Hi All,
So my initial training for BODYFLOW is Dec. 7th! I'm very excited BUT very nervous!
The sessions seem REALLY long... this may be a dumb question, but do we break for lunch or dinner? Is that why they tell us to bring snacks? And did you guys sweat so much you had to change clothes in during a session?
Also, I received the form to ...

Hi Lisa, I have only been teaching since January but I came to Flow dogmatically as a participant for just over a year before that. I find myself often referring back to how I felt as a member in the class for how I now teach.I like to set it up with a few active relaxation cues, maybe say something about the value of giving yourself this time, ...

I finally bought some branded gear. After the first post I did a google search and found the NZ site. The Canadian dollar is good right now so the clothing is cheeper for us here, as well they offer free international shipping right now! Good deals! Great clothes! I'm verry happy with what I purchased. I wrote an post yesterday that has yet to be ...

So after this post originally went up I started looking on the web for Les Mills clothing (google search) and found all the international sites we can buy clothes from. One great resource was BStalk.com gave me everything I needed. The Canadian dollar is stronger right now so the NZ site is actually quite cheeper than the posted price :) I ...

Just because it's time for a totally girly post!
I've gotten to the point when I go out shopping, my eye scans immediately for pretty BodyFlow clothes. If I see green, I immediately give it the once-over to see if it's close enough to BodyFlow green. I love black and white exercise clothes that are just a little different, since I wear those ...

RexFury: I think ten minutes for meditation when most participants haven't been coached in meditation is a cop out. Five of those minutes could be put to better use.
I disagree; BodyFlow isn't just an exercise class, and the benefits of meditation or deep relaxation are well documented. 5 minutes isn't nearly enough to get into a ...
