I'm sorry to hear about zumba. It is hard to compete with the ucsf instructors though :). Im sure it wouldn't seem so bad if you didn't have those guys to compare her to. I've been at a lot of gyms and they are just too awesome! I was so sad when Cristy and Timothy left ucsf. I am sure classes will be so much better in Oz than LA. I've heard lots of good things!!!
I'll probably be going through the same thing you are soon enough (this spring). I was cleared to graduate last friday (had a crazy celebration), but am going to hold off on writing my dissertation until i find a job and will keep doing research for now, while I'm still funded, and most likely will defend in the spring. It's kind of bitter-sweet. As much as I wanna be finished with grad school, after being here 4 years, I'm so attached. I just love it here...it just feels like home :). I like new experiences, but there are no other cities in the US like san francisco :-).
I'll keep looking for a job here, though it's looking like I'll end up back on the east coast for a bit :-(. Probably Philly or Boston, AND there's NO bodyjam!!! I've checked.

Hey :-),
Good to hear from you! I know how you feel about jam withdrawal. That was me last week when millberry was closed for renovations. I went to hip/hop, but it wasn't the same... Anyway--the refinished floor in studio 2 is so nice :).
Hope you are enjoying LA! I can't WAIT for vacation :-).. I'm going to philly, dc and nyc at the end of this month...then lake tahoe for a conference, then point reyes for another conference then to santiago and easter island for yet another conference + fun!!! It's been a while since I've been somewhere interesting.
