Qualified To Teach

JULY 12, 2009 -FINALLY updating my profile (after chatting with Adam, Allison, and Tanelle I realized that I do not go on here enough)- hey it's only been a few years, right?

I am from Baltimore, Maryland and started teaching Les Mills classes at age 16. I started with Body Combat, I got trained for Pump a year later,in February of 2007 I got certified for Body attack, and in December of '07 I trained in (and then got certified) RPM. I go to McDaniel college (where I used to play soccer and tennis) and I am majoring in Exercise Science, with minors in Sport Coaching and Sport Management. I have one more year left there. I LOVE FITNESS and everything having to do with it! I am a Personal Trainer as well and I enjoy Group Personal Training classes most.

For over a year now, I've been a competitive runner. I have a wonderful, hardworking boyfriend, who I in fact met at a road race. Last summer alone, from May to September, I ran 13 road races (mostly 5ks, with a 5 miler and two 10ks in there). In October '08, I ran the Baltimore Half Marathon and came in 3rd for my age group 20-24. Currently, due to some re-occurring injuries, I am only training and not racing. But to stay competitive, I have taken up MMA! Hey, the Body Combat background comes in handy. So I'll see where that goes.

I would love to work for Les Mills one day as a Master Trainer or presenter - that would be a dream come true! So for now I'm working towards it, I've got a lot of time ahead of me. Also, I'm a firm believer in pushing my limits and that we are physically capable of way more than we realize!
