Profile

Hola! Just a little something about me. Both my husband and I teach BodyPump and BodyStep together and really have a great time together. I have been teaching both programs off and on for about 8 years. Love the Les Mills programs and glad to see it's come back to Dallas, and Plano area. My husband, Wayne, became certified in BodyPump and BodyStep a 2 years ago and really enjoys it.

Wayne and I like to put together thyems to our mixes and to help keep our classes fresh. We always try to put together thyems for Christmas, Valentines day (I put pink hair extensions in my hair and had the look like the women from the B52's) We teach at Gold's Gym at Uptown, Arahapo, and Plano so if your ever in the area please look us up we would love to have you join us.

In our spare time (like we have much of that right?) we like spending time with our boys 16 and 14 playing the WII, PS3, fishing and watching movies. You know your a Les Mills instructor when your 14 year old starts singing some of the songs from the new releases and he does not even know that he's doing it!!:) Our 14 year old loves GreenDay so happy to hear that will be our new bicep song in Pump 72 oh so sweet as he would say!!

We like to travel to Mexico at least 2 times a year. Our favorite is Cancun. And yes we practice our BodyStep and BodyPump in the gyms while on vacation!!

We lost our oldest son in July 2008 to a motorcyle accident so you can see how important excerise is to us. With out the Les Mills programs we would have just fallen apart. We feel that we have purpose when we teach to the members and we hope that as instructors we pass on the message to the members that excerise is the best medicine.

We will release BodyPump 71 and BodyStep 77 October 19 and 20. Loving the new BodyStep release and music. Have not had a chance to look at Pump I hear it another tough release especially squats. Can't wait to look at it. Learning the warmup in Step right now always the hardest one for me to learn. This one seems easier to learn than 76. UPDATE: New releases were a success. They loved both releases.

If your ever in the Dallas/Ft Worth area we would love to have you join us.

Love your work!!

Hi Brenda
Ironically I had just got some really good shoes since I am a super pronator.
I am not healed yet and just had an ultrasound today. I am willing to bet I have something similar. My arch feels collapsed. I am going to have to get an extension on my video submssion. I cannot step. Even with no risers I am in pain by the end. Could not do speed step last week, had to do it on the floor off the step!
Hope you are getting better!!!
And my condolences about your son.

Hi Brenda,

The launch was awesome. BS 77 is another great release.

since you're such a fan of Mexico, you need to check out: Fitness pro travel or Vacationing Coaches. I've used both organizations and have traveled as a "guest fitness pro". Great way to stay at top notch resorts for a fraction of the cost!

Hi Brenda,

Good luck with your launches. We're releasing BS 77 tomorrow - doing a breast cancer event. I just love all the Les Mills programs.

Where do you stay when you go to Cancun? My hubby and I are heading there next month...staying at Secrets Maroma Beach. I am counting down the days!

Hi Brenda

Thank you sooo much for your kind words, sadly there is nothing that I can say that will speed up your grieving process as personally I still find it extremely hard at times after 11 years.
Nobody can possibly understand our grief apart from other mothers who have lost a child themselves....

I have now taken the first steps to teaching by enrolling into doing a Gym Instructor's course + Exercise to Music. I only need one of them to teach BodyPump but feel that the more qualifications I have the more chance I will have of getting work after.

Much love to you
Sharon xx

Hi Brenda! Body Step training was a lot of fun! Edwin and I had a good time. Now on to memorizing the rest of BS 75 so I can get ready to video! I hope your classes went well this morning. See you soon. :)

Hey Brenda! I just posted with advice on preparing for BS training, checked the OP profile to see if anything had happened since her original post and saw your excellent advice to her in a msg. LOL! GMTA! Or the thinkings of survivors. Excellent msg. Rex

Hi Brenda
You can't save a drowning man if he doesn't want to be saved. We do what we can do as instructors. Over the years what I found out those people who never listen and do their own thing tend to drop out of Body Pump in a matter of time, which is not a totally bad thing.
Keep doing and enjoying what we believe in it.
So sorry to know that your son died in a motor cycle accident. My heart goes out to you.
Best.
Yvonne
