Body.Flow.Was.AWESOME.
PS- Willamena loves the shouts outs, but kind of wishes they were LOUDER!!!!! In the acronym"istic" styles of Maria- TTSU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Turn that ?!*& UP!)
PPS- Have already written an email to my GFM requesting more Flow on the schedule. Could it be that the answer to the question, "WHY?" has finally been answered?

Holy cats, I just registered for Flow training! I am so excited, worried, pumped, concerned, and ready to ROCK!!!!!! It was actually my husband that suggested I take the Flow training. His point- we only have ONE Flow instructor at Gold's right now. She is a good friend of mine, and, well, I know how it feels to be a one-"man"-team. Participants have been asking for more Flow, and to help take the weight off of her shoulders, I'm aching to help out.
Only issue- do I give up a format, or do I memorize 4 each quarter? Only time will tell.

No word on Champion. I've given up. No, not on myself, just on being able to serve my passion for Les Mills in THAT capacity!
On August 31st I began the newest chapter in my non-Les Mills life, my pursuit of my MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching!) I am currently at mid-term in my first class, and have 8 left to go! I am enjoying it very much! It's certainly a challenge, but, WOW, so rewarding!
I am also teaching more classes than ever, and average 7 classes a week. I'm back at teaching free-style step, and while I'd rather be teaching Body Step (registered for 3 different trainings, and NONE worked out!!!!!!) I'm loving teaching step again! I can't believe I took almost a year off! I didn't know how much I missed it until I started teaching it again.
On a serious note, a dear friend of mine is winning her battle over breast cancer. We are participating in the Des Moines Race for the Cure. Our team's name???? "Kia kaha." :)

I put my CHAMPION application in the mail this morning after Attack and Flow! I am so excited/scared to hear what LMMW has to say about me and my chances at bringing Vive to the midwest! I have had so many positive comments about my classes, my excitement/drive to become a champion, and the hope/wish to bring the excitement to others!!!!! I can only *hope* for a positive outcome! :)

About me: My name is Courtney, but most people know me as cbcjammer or simply cbc. I *heart* Les Mills with a crazy passion that less than 5 years ago I didn't even know lived inside of me. If I could live one wish, it would be to be cert'ed in (in alphabetical order) Attack, Jam, Flow, Pump, Step, and Vive. ONE MORE TO GO!!!! I love Les Mills for too many reasons. But, here is the main one- I can help people feel good about themselves.
My "real" job is as an elementary vocal/orchestra/band/steel drums director and music teacher. I teach K-5 in a VERY urban inner-city (yes, Des Moines has an inner city.) It just so happens that I live a crazy double life. The schedules can get pretty crazy, but so is my LOVE for the Les Mills programs!

Quotes from Body Vive classes-
"Look at all this FIZZ!" ~Shamus (my GM)
"I see SO many smiles out there! Could it be because we get to play with balls and tubes?" ~Me
"Some of you are molesting your balls! I need you to splay your fingers and keep them off of the ball!" ~Me
"Are your hands too sweaty to hold your balls? Mine are!" ~Kim
"Oh, are you doing your video again since you screwed up your first one?" my Mom, directly in front of the camera prior to class on my second filming for my assessment
"THIS is why we love Body Vive! Where else do you get to play with toys while you work out?" ~Me
"No, this class is NOT called Dodge Ball, and no, spike your balls does NOT mean throw them at your instructor!" ~Me (to my husband and mother)
