Hurricane Gustav

My job during Parish emergencies is to evacuate the residents that have no means to help themselves, and to evacuate the nursing homes. Prior to Hurricane Katrina we evacuated 800+ residents.

When Hurricane Gustav threatened Louisiana we evacuated 1,140 residents, and two nursing homes in three separate evacuations. It was the largest evacuation in the history of St. Charles Parish.

I had a hell of a support team working with me that helped us to surpass and set the example for all other Parishes in the state of Louisiana. I am damn proud of those who worked with me. Some of my drivers worked over 24 hours in a row, evacuating one group after another, making sure our residents were moved to safety.

Louisiana's Governor Jindall came to St. Charles Parish and praised our efforts in getting our residents to safety. But, I have to again say, if it was not for the dedicated men and women that tirelessly worked with me to get our residents out, we would not have been as successful as we were. God Bless those who in times of deep distress and trouble step forward to help others. They are truely blessed!!!

My prayers are with those in Galveston and other towns in Texas hit by Hurricane Ike. I have been where you are now and know that with hope, and patience, all this does pass. God does step forward and dim the harsh memories of pain and loss, and with faith, shows you a bright new dawn.

You will get past this. You will be stronger. God be with each and everyone of you.

I ask that all the Les Mills family say a prayer or two to those who were hit the hardest by Hurricane Ike. Until you have lost all that you own, you do not appreciate all that you have. And if you can, step forward to help!

Hey Gary,

I'm doing Great, Thanks for asking and offering to help! The storm went East of Dallas & Ft. Worth but hit hard in Houston & Galveston. I know Instructors & Trainers in Houston, Mcallen, Katy. I have heard from a few that had only had to deal with no electricity for a week but I am concerned about the others and how the clubs held up for them. Well got to get bacik to work, can you tell everyone "Hi" for me and I will chat with everyone soon. Thanks.

Gil	You Da Man. Gary Elizabeth is in charge of Group Fitness at MAC right now. Talk to her about a RPM class. And yes... training with you was awesome. I'll be doing my video soon. After that I will Team teach with all my friends from initial training.
