BODYSTEP 67

I became a BODYSTEP instructor in the fall of '05 and a BODYPUMP instructor in the fall of '06. Went through RPM training Mother's Day weekend '07 (best Mothers' Day present ever!), and launched the program Summer '07. Plenty of RPM addicts have been initiated since then.

My fitness sisters (the extremely beautiful and talented group of ladies with whom I'm blessed to teach) and I travel for quarterlies, live for launches, and absolutely love what we do. I am thankful that God has given me a healthy body and Les Mills has given me the training and motivation to keep it that way! It is truly a privilege to be able to inspire others to challenge themselves, get stronger, and lead a healthier lifestyle.

I live in Cumming, Georgia with my husband, Jeff, my 6 year old son, Jackson, and our yellow lab puppy, Lily.

I teach at the BodyPlex in Dawsonville and Cumming with the best team of instructors and most awesome group of members anywhere in the world.

Love!

Wow...good for you!. There are SO many things to tell you.

Bikes: We had 50 bikes
Money: Each rider paid $10 per ride and got the 7th free if they bought 6
Sign up: We had a sign up book at the front desk of the gym and a BIG chart out side the cycle studio to show how fast we were filling up the rides
Media: Send out press releases to all the local papers,TV and radio and all the important people, business leaders, council members mayors etc etc
Promotion, we used a local firm to provide a cool graphic which we used for our posters. We then put the posters 11x17 all around town, windows of sports shops, coffe shops sandwich shops EVRYWHERE we could put one
Prizes, we hit up all the local businesses we could think of for prizes and what we did was give those out on a drawing basis during each ride after each track, the music kept on rolling but we gave out the prizes. When people were checking in for the day we had them fill out a contact form email phone etc etc, which we then used for the GRAND prize drawing at the end of the day...hotel nights, jewellry etc etc all the big stuff....

For the drawings during the ride, each bike was numbered so we just drew balls from a jar.

Lights, music etc etc, we went to the local theater lighting supply store and rented, serious disco lights and smoke machines, (make sure your breakers at the gym can handle it though)

We also convinced local restaurants to cater the event as we went through lunch, first ride was at 9 last ride was at 3.

We also had other vendors set up tables out side and they gave prize donations, bike stores etc etc

Photographer - find the best photographer you can to volunteer their time, you need to have a great record of the event

When it is done remember to send out another press release recognizing yr supporters and riders etc etc and you will get even more press coverage....

Oh one final point...in your sign up book remember to get them to give you their email addresses, what I did was maintain an email contact and count down with them to increase the team spirit and excitement.

Have fun, if you would like some examples of releases etc etc email me your email address and I would be happy to share the "blueprint" with you.

My email is mygb@earthlink.net
