Qualified To Teach

Profile

I promised I would make a proper profile once I was done practicing my Jam technique and choreo, so here it is! :)

I recently graduated as the top student from UNR (NERD ALERT!) with a degree in Health Ecology and a minor in psychology. I am an ACE and NASM certified personal trainer, as well as an ACE Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant. Fitness and health have always been two important areas of my life, so I absolutely LOVE that my career helps me bring those key elements to others!

I first experienced Les Mills when I stepped into Double Diamond Athletic Club at the end of 2006. My first class was BodyJam, and it was love at first dance move! As corny as it may sound, I knew right then and there that I one day wanted to be on the instructor side of things.

I went through BodyAttack training in November 2007, having no idea what I would be in for! I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of the most challenging, but ultimately rewarding, experiences of my life. I officially snagged my first Les Mills certification at the beginning of 2008 after successfully completing my BodyAttack assessment.

Shortly after my Attack certification, I headed off to Boise, ID to train with Josh and Kristen for BodyJam. For someone who isn't a natural dancer (like myself), it was a physically and emotionally draining experience, but just like Attack, it was ever so rewarding once I became certified!

Outside of the fitness world, I consider myself to be a super nerd and a cat lady. Great combo, huh? ;) I have four female cats that are just like my babies: Pixie (silver tabby and tortie mix), MitMit (tuxedo kitty), Muffin (tortie and calico mix), and The Baby (solid black cat).

I am honored and thrilled to be a part of the Les Mills team and look forward to one day having my very own classes to teach! :)

Availability

I'm ready and 100% willing to teach BodyAttack or BodyJam, any day, any time! :)

I am sure you did great on your video assessment. How did it go...Jammin?

I haven't taken that class , I am sure it is hoppin'!

If u have a pic of your t-shirt send it!

You should check a local animal shelter if you can voluteer. It is difficult at first when you see all the cats not being adopted. I foster / voluteer for a no-kill shelter. It is sad when they die.

It is all worth it to them (I think) , if you play & hug them. I do a spa day with them. I find the ones that are shabby looking (usually ferals) and older ones . I brush them clean their eyes. There are ones that don't want to be bother and will tell you!!!

I am actually getting ready to leave now to go and do some hours in the shelter(sometimes you have to scoop poo! It should be on "Dirty Jobs" w/ Mike Rowen!!)

I have 19 cats / kittens.

2 (5 kitten )littes- 2 months and 3 months old. 2 kittens about 5 - 6months old

3 Ferals 1 1/2 yrs

1 old crabby cat - Nemesis!! 11 yrs old

3 of my own 4 - 5 yrs old!!!

Here is a pic of the 3 month olds!
