Why I Teach: A Personal Manifesto

I teach because group fitness has transformed me physically, psychologically, and emotionally; because no woman (or man) should be intimidated by the weightroom; and because fitness is more than a treadmill.

I teach because I believe in the Les Mills program and am a walking testament to its potential, and because the day I threw out two-thirds of the clothes in my closet was one of the best moments of my life.

I teach because because my fellow instructors and participants have become my best friends, and because an hour hanging out with them at the gym is the best kind of happy hour I know.

I teach because I will always be a Speech Geek at heart.

I teach because I want to inspire people the way my instructors inspired me, and because I want everyone to have life-changing fitness experiences.

Hey Jennifer ... How are you doing? Thanks for the encouragement! I definitely appreciate it.
About my taping -- To tell you the truth, Belle made it sound like things were a little more certain than they really are. (LOL!) I actually don't have a taping date yet. But hopefully I will soon. I will let you know.

Be good! Good Luck with your classes.

Do you know what their schedule is (days/times/classes)? I think it'd be so awesome to take a class from the greats! :)

You are so lucky to have Nate!!! I was actually thinking of maybe getting some other STEP instructors together to come down and take one of his classes. He really is inspirational. :D
ATTACK is growing on me- it's still killer but a ton of fun at the same time. My current goal is to make it halfway through track 5 on my toes. Then I'll focus on doing the entire thing without dropping like a wimp ;)
Ooooh- you'll be fine with BP when you load up :). The only track that's really sneaky is the chest track. I also want to die about halfway through triceps but stick it out to the end. :D

I'm so glad you like STEP! I like that it has the athleticism of ATTACK but the fun factor that lets you cut loose. I also struggle with some of the armlines and "finishers," but they come in time :D.
So excited to hear how your launch goes!!! We jumped the gun about a month ago for the COMBAT relaunch. How hard was track 8 to learn this round!? The timing wasn't hard, but the choreography was pretty complex. I also love the chest and lunges.
Let me know how it goes!! :D

OMG I am the biggest slacker in the world- I JUST filmed today ;D. I'm having the damn thing formatted and what-not over the weekend because I'll be at BODYSTEP training :D. It'll be post-marked the day it's due...hopefully I'm filming FLOW next week, that sucker's due on the 15th. My God, what have I gotten myself into? ;)

I love 69!! We launched last weekend and I taught Tracks 1-3. They say your favorite release is the one you trained on, but 69 kicks the crap out of 68.
We had a cool launch- 7 classes in 4 hours with a class focus in each club (ours was PUMP, so we did the whole release). I shadowed COMBAT and TT FLOW, then did PUMP, then STEP, VIVE, ATTACK (! so hard!), then Zumba. I cannot wait to do STEP training- this release is awesome.
