Qualified To Teach

Hi! My name's Katy Palmer and I work part-time as a G.F.I. for Zest Health Clubs in Perth, Western Australia. I am currently teaching Body Step (the best programme in the world :-) and am also a certified Body Attack instructor "on hiatus"... very keen to make a comeback to it!!

Originally from Mt. Gambier, South Australia, I first joined the gym as a participant at the age of 18, and discovered very quickly how ADDICTIVE group fitness can be!

I attribute my passion for group fitness largely to the many amazing instuctors who have inspired and motivated me so far - some of my very first instructors back in the early days in South Australia include the likes of Donna Creek, Joyanne Brown, Dean Lightbody, Troy Mustey, Kathleen Finney and Carolyn Gazzard - you guys rock and are truly an asset to the industry!!

Needless to say the Wild Wild West certainly has no shortage of passionate and inspirational instructors either - Jen, Kris, Emma, Scotty, Dave, Nadine, Odette, Pete, Rob, Sharon... I could go on forever!!!

**THE LATEST** (2nd September 2008) - Time flies when you're having fun!! Once again here we are at LAUNCH WEEK! This Quarter saw my gym launching programmes in a "mega-class" style, giving participants a taste of all of the new releases in one big MEGA class! The theme of the new releases collectively was "Excellence + Respect + Being Aussie" in line with the Olympic games.
My sidekick Aaron and I lead the 'Creek in Body Step 73 - what a Step-savvy bunch!! Their energy levels were awesome!! Thanks to the other instructors who helped launched new releases at Bullcreek- Emma, Amanda, Vicky, Dave, and Martine - you guys are fabulous, thanks for making such a fabulous launch day!! :-)

Well, some exciting NEWS my end - I am moving to Melbourne to start an awesome new job !!!! I move next Friday the 3rd of October to work for Fenix Fitness Clubs ! I will be the Group Fitness Manager for Hoppers Crossing, Taylors Lakes (opening in October) and Point Cook (opening end Oct / early Nov) as well as teaching of course! Very very excited, great opportunity and can't wait !

So yes, lots has been happening here in the small town of Mount Gambier!

Hope all is well for you in Perth, great place to be with awesome people !

Brent	Katy, It is great to hear from you. I am glad that you like BS 72. It is very athletic and the music is off the hook. Have a great time launching it with your team.
