Profile

Since moving to Coffs Harbour from Melbourne 2 years ago, I have managed to lose an astonishing 73kg, all thanks to plenty of exercise (weight-training, walking, BodyBalance & BodyPump) and healthier eating.

As mentioned previously in my blogs for BodyBalance & BodyPump, it took me a while to get the hang of doing these different exercise routines, and now I incorporate them into my weekly exercise routine, consisting of 2 classes of BodyPump (Wednesday & Saturday) and 2 BodyBalance classes (Tuesday & Saturday).

All credit must go to Les Mills, as he has created the best exercise classes around, and I think that all the instructors must be thanked for helping people of all shapes and sizes regain their fitness in new & exciting ways.

Footnote: I have updated my fitness program to now include an extra BodyPump class on Mondays, an amendment to the BodyBalance class (now on Wednesdays, after BodyPump, and no classes on Tuesdays - my night off), an occasional RPM class (we call it Cycle - how classy, huh??!!) on Saturday, BodyJam classes on Monday, Friday & now Sunday mornings, and, at the moment, BodyCombat on Thursdays (only for 4 weeks as a trial run).

Have a good one.

Steven

Hey Steven,

It is going Great here!

Sounds good that you are doing the Website Design course, I hate to say it be patient about your job. You will find one soon.
Hey we have had gone through the gym problems over here too with clubs closing or what not and not having all the Les Mills programs and such because the new owners have not comprehend the whole philosphy of the Les Mills programs. Some people just do not get it of why the Les Mills programs are the best to have at the clubs.
BTW, you look Great in your pic, keep doing what you are doing and make sure that you are doing RPM or cycle which ever one you have there at least 3 to 4 times a week.
Take care and hope you will keep me updated.

Hugs, Crazy Carol

BTW, do you have facebook? I am on there as "Carol Crzy Limme"

Hey Steven,

It's great to hear from you and thanks for the christmas wishes!

I am terribly sorry to hear about your recent unemployment. I have been stressed for months trying to find a job as I finish up my Ph.D! There's just not much out there! I finally got an offer today.. so there is hope.

It is great that you now have more time for the gym. My gym schedule has been such a disarray during my job search and I have actually had to cut back a little bit :-(, which makes me sad because for a good while I was able to go to two classes a day.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday and I wish you all the best for 2009!

Take care and please keep me updated!

Hello there Steven, it's terrible all the job losses and credit crunch business, we are moving offices at work which means I won't have time to do some of my class/gym as I'll be sitting in traffic for an hour every morning and night but I shouldn't complain as I am lucky to have a job, hope everything gets sorted for you soon. Enjoy all the extra fitness centre time while you can! Can't wait for new releases to come out, I've done the new body balance which was brilliant but haven't seen anything else - hear bp bis and tris v hard eek! Been doing weights more in the gym but it doesn't seem to be helping with my weights in bp yet. Have the best Christmas possible anyway and a great birthday if I don't speak to you before then. I've been neglecting les mills for facebook I am addicted!

I've been very busy - training for Great North Run well under way now, did 10 miles on Monday which is the longest I've done - it's taking it's toll on my knees and feet though got some supports but need to check my trainers too. This has cocked me up with everything else - not ebing a runner I'm finding it hard and even 2 runs of 9 miles a week is knocking me out for everything else and I am aching! Don't know what to do tonight, think balance would be good as I haven't been for a few but I'm also negelcting weights for running, so maybe bodypump would be a better option - I can't decide, I could do weights in the gym in the morning or swim as I can't do a class tomorrow night then I'm giving up combat on Fri to run again - too stiff the next day to spin and that's the only class on a Sat nightmare!! Shame about the shoulder/back, I get the odd twinge but we have an ex physiotherapist at work who normally rubs it better for me. You've really got to watch on those clean and presses I think they're dangerous!! Bodyjam sounds good we don't have it here yet.

Keep up the work and enjoy!

Lost 30 myself and now teach BodyCombat -- absolutely love it!

Haha I'd forgotten all about you!! My bday is 11th March so plenty of time, sky diving sounds mint, would love to do it for charity but wouldn't be able to raise enough money. Am doing half marathon for Dog's TRust in October and have started training on the tredmill, not a runner though so not sure if I'm doing the best I can. Loving the new releases, especially Combat, will take a few weeks to get my head round BB 41 though!!

Hey Steven,

Thanks for your note!!! Wow--skydiving! I am not doing anything that exciting for my birthday, but maybe next year?!? Although, I did go flying in an antique biplane a couple of years ago on an aerobatic flight... we did some loops, barrel rolls, over wine country. It was amazing and fun. I would love to get my pilots license someday!

I hope you are feeling better now. I know how you feel about missing class... I just hate missing jam :).
