Aug 24TH update-

Today is my youngest sons 12th birthday. This is a child that was born with leukemia and who was not expected to survive past 9 mos of age. He went through TWO bone marrow transplants over the course of 2 yrs (at 9 mos old and 2 1/2 yrs of age) and he fought for his life to get him where he is today. He is now a 9 yr survivor of leukemia. He has multiple medical complications because of the treatments to save his life, but despite these, he has the most innocent and happy disposition! Some of these issues bring about a great deal of frustration and hardship for the rest of us, but we just do the best we can to deal with it one day at a time. The chronic-ness of this wears us down some days, but we are grateful he is still with us. Many families have not had that fortune.

So, for me, Body Pump and the Les Mills family are what get me through some of those days when frustrations are high and patience is low. The music, the workout, the energy, the people......they all keep me holding on and hanging in another day. Thanks to all of you who hang in there with me!

I'm heading to the Super Quarterly in Chicago in Oct with some of my fellow instructors.....can't wait to see and meet some super master trainers and visit again with some I've gotten to know from previous quarterlies. Looking forward to getting pumped up again from the best of Les Mills!!

Give me a shout here if you're passing through....tell me what's happening in your world, even if we haven't met yet!

Wishing all of you in my Les Mills circle the best always~
Keep things real and keep "turnin' it up!"

BIO:
I have always tried to live a healthy and active lifestyle, but it wasn't until March of 2001 (when I was about to turn 40!) that I really became passionate about both. My workouts became something I did with a purpose, and not just going through the motions. I began educating myself more about what to eat and when to eat. The changes I made in my body with both nutrition and exercise were remarkable. However, the changes in my physical body were nothing compared to how much this way of life changed my way of thinking.

I was encouraged to try a Body Pump class from my friend Kelly, and once I started, I got the "bug". I loved the class, but I would have never considered teaching it. Kelly kept suggesting I try teaching it, and I kept saying "I'm not an instructor!" I thought that wasn't me. Somehow, she must have seen something in me that I wasn't aware of myself, but eventually I decided to step out of my box and try it. To this day I am so grateful to her for her "gentle nudging", because I can't imagine my life without it now!

Becoming a part of the Les Mills family is one of the best things I've ever done. I have set goals to continue certifying in other programs and would also like to become an assessor in BP. I am also studying for my personal trainer certification so that I can continue to share my passion for this extroaordinary life of health and fitness with others!

I currently teach for two fine facilities (YMCA & Gold's Gym). They each have their own great, unique qualities and members. Aside from my passion for fitness, Pump and Les Mills, I am also blessed to have a great family....my husband of 23 yrs, and my two boys (11 and 13). I follow my favorite sports teams (Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Boston Red Sox & the Texas Longhorns).

I miss my home and family in Colorado, but we are here because it is what is best for my youngest sons health needs following his two bone marrow transplants at 9 mos old and 2 1/2 yrs of age. Currently, he is 12 yrs old and 9 yrs leukemia free!

Feel free to visit his website at: www.caringbridge.org/visit/briandaubach.

Thanks for visiting!

It will BS 74 - comes out in Dec. Let me know what you think! But only if it isn't bad. :)

Yep - Chicago is right around the corner. Of course there's always time for chatting! We're women right? Take care until then -

Hey girl! So great to hear from you. NZ was absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had. Everybody was so kind - and I learned so much. I've never stressed so much to teach 3 tracks in my life! ha ha

I am definitely going to be at the Super Q in Chicago - just confirmed with the Midwest agency before I left for NZ. Good to go. I really hope you are thre!

Take care -

if you are ever vacationing out this way...we
have a spare couple of bedrooms and you're

Niki,

It is great to hear from you. Things have been crazy busy indeed. The Global was off the hook and an amazing experience by far. The releases will showcase some of the WOW, so you will be getting those next round. Have a look for sure!

Our offices are in San Diego, but we are in the midst of moving to San Francisco at the end of April, so I will no longer be here in August. You will have to let us know if you visit San Francisco in the future for sure. I hope that things are going well on your end. I will hope to get back over to the Mid-West again soon to present another Quarterly in the near future.

Keep up the great work and I will chat with you again soon.

Cheers,

Brent
