Qualified To Teach

Profile

Hi, thanks for looking at my profile! I am new to the world of Les Mills having completed my first training program in December 2007 for Body Balance. In 2007 I also completed my Certificate III in Fitness (group exercise). At the moment I don't have a regular class of my own but have covered a number of freestyle low impact classes like Soft Start And TTT/ABT.

In my other life I am a mum of 2 and work casually as a physiotherapist at my local hospital. :)

*Update June 2008*
Well, my Body Balance certificate arrived in the mail yesterday so finally it is official! How exciting to join the ranks of the internationally recognised Les Mills instructors!! I now have one regular BB class and am aiming to have 3 by the end of the year.

I have also signed up for BodyVive training in August so bring it on!

*August 25, 2008*
Completed BodyVive training this weekend on BV08.
Pass!!! Woohoo!! Now to find some classes to teach. . . .

Hi Sam

Thanks for the message. Congrats on passing your Vive Module Training. Haven' looked at Vive 8 yet as we don't release it for a few weeks yet, but have heard it's great do love the music though as I've listened to it already. You are going to love teaching it when do you release it, is Vive new at your gym, if not how is it going, is it popular. We've had it for almost a year now and it's still going strong. Good luck with teaching and keep me informed how things go.

Take Care

yes good release to train on vive keeps improving with each release and is headin in the right direction! ;P
dont think itt will be any harder to learn than the last one, u'll find that as u do more releases the moves are always similar and u usually only have about 3 moves per track to learn anyway.
leg strength is a abig OUCH
:P

yeah i guess it does take alot of patience, sometimes i feel like giving up its also becoz you have to find a class that suits your times, alot of vive classes are in the morning here and im at uni during those hours so it makes it harder.
ive just found out that i wount be the only vive instructor for one of the gyms opening here (i was originally) so ive got competitions now for the job! now i feel the pressure! hehe ;P
keep in touch, fingers crossed we'll both have permanents by the end of the year.

Totally agree if you are going back to work 2 programmes is more than enough and 3 of each programme makes it less work learning chorrey. Good Luck.

Yeah lost a bit of interest in the forum of late been busy catching up to friends on this site and been spending alot of time on Facebook when I get tired of that will be back to the forums. But I'm always here in some form or another, nice to know I've been missed, lol.

Cheers
