October update:

I can't believe that it's already October. Where has the time gone?!? I'm having a blast teaching my 3-4 classes per week of BODYPUMP and BODYATTACK. Mixing and matching releases has been a lot of fun. Next up is learning BP67 and BA62 for our launches in October. We're doing a Wicked Wednesday sampler format of 20 minutes of each of the programs. I'm still trying to decide what Halloween costume to wear for that!

August update:

I had a great time at the New York Super Quarterly, which had over 800 attendees. It was wonderful to see the program directors from New Zealand, the US trainers, and a whole bunch of LMI instructor friends from all over the US. I can hardly wait to launch the new releases!

===================================================
FORMERLY little-known facts for my TAGGING:

1. I am a computational physicist, which most of my class participants are generally surprised to learn. I got my PhD in physics 15 years ago from the University of Texas at Austin. I specialized in nonlinear dynamics, specifically pattern formation in nonlinear systems.

2. I love to combine science and entrepreneurship. I have spent the last three years working nights and weekends on my start-up company (www.paragonscience.com).

3. I was born and raised in Los Alamos, New Mexico (hence, the whole physics thing), and worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for six summers during my undergrad and graduate years. Naturally, I got a lot of "Do you glow in the dark?" comments when I went to college.

4. I had a Q security clearance from the Department of Energy at the Secret level right out of high school, due to my work at LANL (see #3).

5. I speak French and spent the fall of 1986 studying in Aix-en-Provence, France, which was a fabulous experience. I feel somewhat rusty now, but I fell right back into it when SteveO and I went to France and Italy in 2004.

6. I don't play a lot these days, but I spent 20+ years playing piano, leading music groups, and writing orchestral arrangements for church, starting in 9th grade. (That's actually how I met my hubby, SteveO; he was directing one choir and I another at the University Catholic Center in Austin.)

===============================================================================
I've been teaching group fitness classes since late 1995 and really love staying active and helping others get or stay fit. I've taught BODYPUMP since 2002, and I did my BODYATTACK training with Kendall Kimball (Yay, Kendall!) in December 2005.

I'm a computational physicist and entrepreneur, currently doing consulting to fund my start-up company -> www.paragonscience.com.

Hey STEVE! :) Good to hear from ya. Gearing up for LAUNCH, huh? I can't believe it's almost time for that AGAIN! I'm in the midst of finding and buying BA back-releases, found them all the way back to BA52 across the country so hopefully my region can buy them for me.

Sorry you can't come up to Chicago but hope you have fun with your friend. I'm sure we'll see each other again ;). I will tell Susan and Steve that you said hello when I see them, though.

I was like "whaaa" when I was told I was to be the Instructor of the Month, it was really humbling because I love to teach and so apparently good things were said about me, hahaha.

I want to get my T.T.'s done so I can get my solos going. I need to organize mock-classes so that I can film. I want to film mid-October at the very latest and send it in before the holidays, not last-minute like with my first two. Talking right now with one of my GFMs to see when we're going to launch BA.

How's life down in TEXAS?

Un abrazo,

- Javier

Hey Steve!

Glad Ike missed ya! We got POURED ON with the remnants here in the Midwest but everything's fine.

I'm a so STOKED about BA, man! I'm already planning my 4 team teaching's as we speak so I can get my sign-off and I can talk to my GFM about setting-up the Tasters and Demos. But of course I'll be wanting to T.T. as much as I can (as I keep doing in BP and BC).

Are you coming to the SuperQ in Chicago to hang with Steve Renata and Susan Tolij **and us of course!!**???

How's your start-up Co. going?

**Un abrazo**

Hi Steve,

I use to take your classes in Austin before we moved back to my hometown of Amarillo. So fun to read your profile. We visit Austin frequently so hopefully I'll make it back to one of your classes sometime. Take care!

Hey STEVE! How are you? :)

My Labor Day weekend was low-key but that's to be expected given the weekend before, lol. I taught as part of this thing called "The Amazing Workout" which is basically a Les Mills Taster kind of thing.

I can't wait till I can say the same thing about ATTACK, I just made my COMBAT tracklisting for this morning's class.

I had a committee meeting last week so I got the semi-final word: as long as I can get my manuscript accepted for publication, I will get my degree - so fingers crossed, eh?

I'm going to ATTACK training next weekend - can't wait!! Turns out it's BA61 which I've been doing for over a month now so I'll have a leg-up!

I hope your presentations go well (as well as your start-up research)!

Let's keep in touch,

- J
