Hey, thanks for the message, but it seems that things are way different around my area of the world! I checked and the minimum experience level to become a trainer in the US is 12 months consecutive after final certification. I imagine this difference would be attributed to the difference in popularity of Les Mills in AU and NZ compared to the US. I understand it's huge for you guys over there, and it's only recently, like in the last year or 2 started to get popular around here in the States. It's been here for a while, but hasn't really caught on big until recently. This is probably because Les Mills licensing costs are substantially more than most other Group Fitness programs, and most gym owners around here took forever to finally realize that it's for good reason! You get what you pay for, and in this case it's most definitely worth it!
Back on track......I found that it doesn't cost anything to send in the application and assessment video, so I figure what the heck, I'll send it in! Worst that could happen is they don't think I'm ready, but I won't be out any $$ :)
Thanks for taking the time to help me out, take care and live the dream!

Not fair, you're one release ahead of us. We're just launching RPM 44, and I'm presenting 9 classes in 6 days, YIKES! But I really do love this release.

I hate it when forum posts get so far off track. Loved seeing your good sense of humor to my "slight" sarcasm!

We're getting a Zumba class starting at my gym next month. I'm sure it will be missing that specific charm that your Jam class had :-)
The new place isn't too bad - except that they have one Combat class a week and I'm very unimpressed with the person who takes it. Yes, he's young but his technique's not that good and his CRCing is non-existent. At least he pre-cued most of the moves this week. However, I think there were two track eights (and no track seven) and the abs were all over the place which made me think it's his made-up version because LMI couldn't possibly produce something that bad (and I've done a lot of track fives in Body Step!). I probably shouldn't be judging him after only two classes but he's just so far below the quality I've had for the last couple of years that it's frustratingly disappointing.
On the plus side the Pilates class is wonderfully varied and was brutal tonight. Who knew that lying around for an hour could be such a work out.

Hi, Fi (just realised how many nicknames that opens up; I'm sure you've heard them all)
Had a really busy couple of weeks with family visiting (including some I haven't seen for the best part of a decade) so gym time has suffered. It's not too polite to disappear for four hours for a few classes even though I'm absolutely gagging to get out exercising. Only managed a combat and cycle class this week so feeling stir crazy.
Sod's Law dictates I'll turn an ankle in the first five minutes of my regular classes next week and be laid up for a fortnight.
Hasn't it been nice on here the last couple of days without the Harry Potter-style "he who must not be named"?

Superwoman - no problem,
I think Rick got it anyway, our health care systems seem similar.
Good vibes from down under must have done the job - feeling much better today!
