Qualified To Teach

I have two amazing children (Hunter-11 & Henlie-8), whom I homeschool. This is my second year as "teacher" in the classroom, but my hobby the last 20 years has been teaching group fitness classes. It's always been a passion of mine, and now my husband of 17 years also teaches. My first experience with Les Mills was a bodypump training in 2002, having never even taken a class. WHOA-I was hooked!! I am focusing my teaching on pump, step, and RPM. While I strive to educate and inspire my participants to new levels, they in turn inspire me as well. Each and every class is an opportunity to change a life and make a friend!! When I'm not teaching my kids or gym classes I'm with my babies-a Missouri Fox Trotter, a Quarter Horse, and an Appaloosa. They are so great to help me refocus my outlook on life!

****There are the basics, recent update:
bootcamp invite for pump-YES!!!!! I love so many of the programs the last few years have been spent "educating" myself in many to find where my deepest passion lies-and I'm definitely back to my "roots" crazy mad for pump. Ready-or getting ready-now to possibly take it to the next level-thank you LMI for this opportunity!!

****So bootcamp was a very insightful experience. While I learned a lot, what I mostly discovered is that I really don't have passion for delivering module material. Although I am very passionate about LM programs, I truly come alive while teaching classes!! Furthermore, I truly cannot commit to the time requirements as a "trainee". Just knowing my teaching skills were good enough to gain the opportunity is incredible. Thank you LMI!

Hey Larissa,

I saw you posted a message on a friends page and clicked over. It's neat to see that you are homeschooling. My husband and I are praying about doing that. We have a huge homeschooling community in my church and city. I have a few years before I will have to start. It also neat to see that you are still able to teach classes. One day I might have to draw you out about how you balance it all. Until then, congratulations on your invitation to boot camp and maybe one day I'll meet you at a Q!!
