After a year of Flow as a participant, decided to take the plunge for instructor-hood. What better way to make other flow-addicts, right?
I'm one of those cheesy stories where Flow has "changed my life." I was suffering from migraines that presented with very wierd - scary wierd - symptoms. We figured out that eveything going on was related to the migraines, but haven't been able to find the "why." We know that they are linked to my car accident a few years back and that there is something in my neck/back that contributes, but all of the tests come up normal. My doc suggested that yoga may help in the pain reduction and in gaining strength back that I had lost along the migraine path.
The gym we went to didn't have plain yoga, but had BodyFlow - I tried Flow and I was addicted within a month! (Thanks to Becca on that one!) Now, almost a year later, my migraines are under control, I'm getting stronger and I've been out of physical therapy for almost 6 months. Having the ability to stay long, strong, centered and calm has proven key in my headache success. Flow isn't the cure but it sure does make it more manageable!
When I lost my job I was able to find "me" and decided that the wellness that can come from BodyFlow needs to be shared with more people. With a little encouragement (more thanks to Becca!), I've made it through training and I'm on my way.
