BODY PUMP 65

May 6th-

It's baseball season once again for my 13 yr old, so the little white ball with red stitches rules our lives.....not a bad thing completely, cuz we love the game and love to watch him, but it does mess up dinner time with games and practices! Now if the weather would cooperate a little more, that would be great.....some of the games have been more like football weather with us in our long underwear, snow parkas and hats and gloves! Before long though we'll be complaining of the heat and humidity, so no more whining!

This week Kelly and I swapped classes so I taught her Tues class today, and she will teach my Thurs class. We had an awesome workout today...last time for 65. Time for some more re-mixing! Any requests? Let me know.

Wishing all of you in my Les Mills circle the best always~

BIO:
I have always tried to live a healthy and active lifestyle, but it wasn't until March of 2001 (when I was about to turn 40!) that I really became passionate about both. My workouts became something I did with a purpose, and not just going through the motions. I began educating myself more about what to eat and when to eat. The changes I made in my body with both nutrition and exercise were remarkable. However, the changes in my physical body were nothing compared to how much this way of life changed my way of thinking.

I was encouraged to try a Body Pump class from my friend Kelly, and once I started, I got the "bug". I loved the class, but I would have never considered teaching it. Kelly kept suggesting I try teaching it, and I kept saying "I'm not an instructor!" I thought that wasn't me. Somehow, she must have seen something in me that I wasn't aware of myself, but eventually I decided to step out of my box and try it. To this day I am so grateful to her for her "gentle nudging", because I can't imagine my life without it now!

Becoming a part of the Les Mills family is one of the best things I've ever done. I have set goals to continue certifying in other programs and would also like to become an assessor in BP. I am also studying for my personal trainer certification so that I can continue to share my passion for this extroaordinary life of health and fitness with others!

I currently teach for two fine facilities (YMCA & Gold's Gym). They each have their own great, unique qualities and members. Aside from my passion for fitness, Pump and Les Mills, I am also blessed to have a great family....my husband of 22+ yrs, and my two boys (11 and 13). I follow my favorite sports teams (Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Boston Red Sox & the Texas Longhorns).

I miss my home and family in Colorado, but we are here because it is what is best for my youngest sons health needs following his two bone marrow transplants at 9 mos old and 2 1/2 yrs of age. Currently, he is 11 yrs old and 8+ yrs leukemia free!

Feel free to visit his website at: www.caringbridge.org/visit/briandaubach.

Thanks for visiting!

Niki,

It is great to hear from you. Things have been crazy busy indeed. The Global was off the hook and an amazing experience by far. The releases will showcase some of the WOW, so you will be getting those next round. Have a look for sure!

Our offices are in San Diego, but we are in the midst of moving to San Francisco at the end of April, so I will no longer be here in August. You will have to let us know if you visit San Francisco in the future for sure. I hope that things are going well on your end. I will hope to get back over to the Mid-West again soon to present another Quarterly in the near future.

Keep up the great work and I will chat with you again soon.

Cheers,

Brent

Katie turned 13 on October 3, while Evan just turned 15 on December 30. So far they've been pretty easy on me... :) Although Evan with his school permit sometimes gives me the willies... at least today they let basketball practice out at 5:00 so he was home when I got there. They usually practice til 6:00, so it was good to see his vehicle in the driveway when I got home. :) We have the fortune (misfortune??) of living more than 1.5 miles from school, and since he goes to a school that's in a town of 5,000 or less people, then he was eligible for a School Permit at 14yrs. He can only have siblings in the car...he can't drive his buddies around or anything like that. He's been very responsible, so I'm thankful for that! :) His vehicle also has 4 wheel drive, so that makes me feel a little better. Right now lots of prayers are being said in our house for a snow day tomorrow! :)

I am SOOO excited to go to Cancun! Yes, that was the trip I was planning when we were shopping for launch prizes... sorry about that! I hope you didn't think I was rude! :) So far I have everything covered except for my BA class and the Friday BP class. I sure appreciate your willingness to help out if the need arises! Anyway, having our little winter get-away like that does wonders for recharging the ol' soul. It's also nice to finally get alone time with the hub as well... :)

Hope you have a great rest of the week! See you Monday!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

I'm playing catch up too ;) So you had a snow storm??? How cool is that! Cold and snow are such novel ideas in Auckland. It's hot and humid, but a bit rainy today. Christmas eve was PERFECT yesterday!

Still, so long as the family is here and happy it's all good. The nephew is having his first christmas and it's awesome to see him so fascinated by the little things ;) Hopefully it'll be beach weather for tomorrow... then back to work and training!

Hope you are having a happy and safe festive season :) Here's some summer cheer, from Auckland, for your nice and cold Christmas.

Love Amy Xxxxx
