My story starts back about two and a half years ago. Previously recruited for Div I football I had a history of being fit and athletic. When I dropped athletics to pursue my degree I packed on the pounds. By the end of it I was looking at 325 on the scale, oh boy. I started working out on my own and a few pounds were coming off here or there, but then I was introduced to Les Mills group fitness.
It started with the introduction to Pump with my favorite instructor. I could not even finish class, the pushup sections especially. Despite that I was hooked. Crazy how LM programs keep you wanting to accomplish what may seem impossible. I started taking classes more often, and then branched out to Combat and RPM. Oh Combat, how I love thee.
To come to the conclusion of the story, adding classes every week I dropped the weight very quickly. I now stand with 105 fewer pounds to carry along with me. I made sure that I paid Les Mills back as well. I became certified in all three programs that helped me, and now pass the knowledge I have learned on to others. I will proudly endorse LM programs wherever I go.
Les Mills has given me the strength and confidence I so lacked at a certain time in my life. However LM gave me more than just fitness. That favorite instructor of mine that I started out with .................is now my wife. She taught me so many things about teaching,group fitness, and about myself. Thank you Connie, for seeing the "Real Me".
