My journey into the world of Les Mills happened almost four years ago, when our local YMCA wanted to launch this awesome weight training program. I was instantly smitten, and was blessed with great instructors whom I can now call my friends... (Go Niki! You rock, Pat! Renee is in the house!) I am forever grateful to them for urging me on to take the BodyPump training, so here I am, certified in BP, and now awaiting official word of my certification in BodyAttack. (Edit: As of April '07 I'm certified! Woo hoo!) Dang! If you would have told me a year ago that I would be the one doing the inspiring, I would have told you 'ya right!' :) I am so fortunate to be surrounded by such a great team... Judy, Holly, Niki, Pat, Renee, Eilis, Teri, Sondra, Nick, Stacy, Mary, and Malissa... thank you ALL for your encouragement and inspiration! :)

Outside of the fitness world, I wear several hats... My college degree is actually in Dental Hygiene, which I've enjoyed doing on a part-time basis for over 19 years. I am also a volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Waterloo Fire & Rescue department, which I've been involved with the past five years. I'm also involved in our kids' school, supporting them through our PTA and booster clubs.

I am so blessed to have a great husband of 19 years, John, and four very active kids. Evan is 16, has his driver's license (*gulp*) and loves sports, music, and computer gaming. Katie is 14 and you will always find her with either a basketball, soccer ball, guitar, or saxophone. Shane is 12 and loves playing football! He's also learning to play the trombone. Kelli is 9 and is force to be reckoned with on the soccer field. She's also learning to play the piano.

Sounds like a good day overall!
Not sure what plans we have for mine.....I have been saying I want tickets to see Wicked in May, and they are going on sale this Fri....I said that could be my bday gift!! Except, Jeff is working, so I will have to probably go get them myself!!! Oh well, hopefully I get lucky!

We should get together for a co-birthday lunch sometime, like we did before.

Yea! Glad you will be off on Wed....I just hope that whatever we do, it will be with ALL of us together...not this separate class stuff!!

I heard from an instructor friend of mine at Gold's that when you teach more than one program, it takes a little longer to get your releases cuz they are trying to coordinate all your programs....when you get pump, do you get attack in the same shipment? so maybe that's why. Hope you get it soon. It's really looking like another great release...some good songs and some tough work outs.

It's too bad we don't get to talk much anymore...kind of tough with only a few min between classes.

Thanks for the note. I am so sad you weren't able to come to the Super Q with us. It was so awesome, and so much more than I think any of us expected or hoped for. I don't know if Renee or Eilis told you about it all, but hopefully we can chat soon.

I'm not sure what you were referring to in your note about enthusiasm, etc........I love what I do, and hope that it comes through, and that it can infect others in their lives.......enough so to make whatever changes they need/want to make. Anyway, as for the email, we had the same problem with cox this wkd, so I understand. We have ours back now, so hope yours is back soon too.

Hey chickie!
Thanks for the note! I didn't realize Katie and Eric were so close in age.........is she just 13 or going on 14? Don't even speak the learners permit stuff yet.....even though it's a year early, I'm having a hard enough time going to all these high school open houses! We're trying to get ourselves wrapped around our best choices now so we aren't rushed to choose next year.

Anyway, how's everything else? Getting excited for your upcoming trip? is this the one you were booking at Target while we shopped for launch gifts? can't believe it's coming up already! Wish we were going somewhere like that too!

Well, getting ready to head to bed. I'm still looking at your Friday date to sub. I'll let you know soon.

Renee	Hi Kris, Just wanted to add a little bit for everyone to read. Kris may be small but she is mighty!! I took the BA training with Kris and she is all over her classes. She is a great inspiration for me. She will help me by shadowing in my BA class to help our members and to feed me energy. Making the class a lot more enjoyable for everyone. Thanks Kris!!! Renee
