I am a Group Fitness Manager at American Family Fitness in Richmond, VA. Pump is hands down our biggest class. Our program has grown steadily since we brought on Pump, Step, Jam & Flow. Would LOVE to bring Combat.....
The Super Q was amazing!! I met so many fun and inspirational people. I love the Les Mills world. I have been in the fitness industry for about 20 years, and these programs have done more for me than any others! It was so exciting to meet in person Glen "the man in my living room all year!"

I am preparing to get my Flow video behind me. I am planning on doing it within the next 2 weeks because I have to have elbow surgery. The 4 shots of cortisone are no longer helping. Full arm cast for the first few weeks and a supposed 3 month recovery! I'll be pulling out my hair. I'm in big trouble if I don't pass my Flow video first time around! Wish me luck!

I passed my Flow video, yay me!! Elbow is much better. I am back teaching again, thankfully!

Combat training this weekend. Wish me luck.... I'm sure I won't be able to walk on Monday, but it'll be worth it! I have wanted Combat for a while! Sooooo excited......!!

I passed Combat training! It was by far the most brutal training yet.
I think my body has finally recovered (I guess being in shape isn't ever truly accomplished!!) but my mind is still swimming. We launch Combat in a couple of weeks, so I finally get my wish!

I am now a certified Combat instructor. Wow, it was hard hard hard work! Love Les Mills! Shoot me a post and tell me how much YOU love Les Mills too!

I am very pleased to say that everything is feeling as it should. My likes are still slightly stiff, but nothing a stretching can't handle. Thank you for asking.

How are things for you? Sorry to hear about the hips? What's wrong with them? My mother just had both hips replace this past December. She's only 64. But, she was very active growing up and well into her 50's before her spine, neck, hips, and knees started giving her grief. I suppose it's what happens to those who are active and don't do what is necessary to take care of those joints.

You keep mentioning you're older than dirt. I have a fairly good idea how old dirt is, and if you're older than than that you look damn good for it. How old are you, may I ask. It's a private message so no worries.

Keep in touch, and...

Stay Healthy,

Adam

I forgot to mention that My sit bones are fine. cycling shorts are just about the greatest invention EVER. My legs started to ache/stiffen yesterday (Monday), but are fully functional, which is way more than I had hoped. I'm happy.

Hey Barbi,

Woohoo! I passed my RPM module this past weekend. I'm psyched. I start co-teaching next Monday for a couple tracks and slowly start adding until I take over the class by the end of the month.

That will mean three BC classes and one RPM a week. That should help keep the fat off I should say.

How have you been? Busy? Looking forward to hearing back from ya.

Barbi,

I'm headed to Wilton, CT this weekend to take the RPM Initial Training. Being that I've only done any kind of spinning, including RPM, oh, say about nine or ten times, I think I'm gonna get my butt kicked. I'm excited though. I'll let you know how it went.

Take care, and keep in touch.

Hi Barbi!

Thanks for the note! It was great to meet more of the AFF family! I talked about how I love you and your energy, commitment, & dedication! Were your ears buzzing? :) Training with Heidi was super fantastic - what an awesome site to see so many new instructors who just worked so hard to master as much as they could in 2 days.

So sorry to hear about your injury!! I am sure your members are really bummed that you are out for a while. Do what the Dr's say and hopefully you can avoid surgery! I could sit on the sofa with you and watch SVU while you recuperate if you need me to - I love that show!

Gotta run and get the little one at the bus stop. Thanks for the note and hope to hear from you that you are back 100% soon!

XO, LL

I Barbi,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Has it turns out, they just added an RPM class on the 27th of Feb in CT. I may be going to the BP initial training on the 12th in Boston as well. We'll see. Kinda intense with two IT's in the same month.

You can't be that old. you look like you're in your late 30's as I am. But I do know what you mean about the toll on the body. I had two BC classes on Monday, have one Wednesday evening, then another one Thursday morning. At least it's only for this week.

I look forward to chatting with you in the future.

Stay healthy,

Adam

Hey Barbi,

Thanks for the add and sorry for taking so long to leave a message things are nuts around here. Getting ready to launch BC42 on top of it's our club's 1 year BC anniversary.

I hope you have a blast teaching BC. I know I do. I'm currently looking for an Initial Training class for RPM, but not having any luck finding on. If you hear of any even in the Mid-Atlantic area please let me know. I'm from Baltimore so I could make a trip of it.

Until next time,

Stay healthy,

Adam
