Profile

I began participating in Bodypump in 2003, 47 was the first release I did and have been hooked ever since.

We are a Military family in the B-1 bomber community, but are currently fulfilling our staff tour at Offutt AFB in Nebraska, and we love it here! My husband is a pilot and we have two fabulous girls who are the light of our lives! I am lucky enough to be a stay at home Mom, but am always looking for the perfect little job for a few hours a day to keep me sane!

When we moved from Texas to Montgomery Al, July 2007, there was no bodypump...I was crushed. But then I found out my gym was getting it and I was so thrilled. My training weekend was the most out of my comfort zone I had been in a long, long time. I embraced the challenge and worked hard and cried a lot too!
I passed my initial training module on release 64, January 27th, 2008. What a fantastic weekend working hard and learning! Thanks to Brooke Norris for helping me change my life!! I wouldn't have believed anyone who told me 5 yrs ago I would be teaching a group fittness class!!!

fyi i dont use 2.5 kg plates any more for the shoulder track either - i use the baby 1.5 kg.I dont care what any body thinks of me for using this option here or for using lower weight in general where needs be - if i use the 2.5 kg plate for shoulders that is something that for reason x i do not know starts my shoulder pain.I'd rather be safe in everything i do and use a lower weight ................................is the conclusion that ive come to.I simply do not care WHAT weight people are using or what other instructors use.I care more about it being safe and effective excerise and i care about being injury free,so if you need to use a low weight for shoulder track or a different option,do it.So what ........................

The pair of us are actually having a massive online fight as we speak.
I'm so not sure how to deal with this.
I dropped off all her mike equipment yesterday.
Then she cancels all PT on me - which shes done several times, leading me to believe she didnt really want to do it - what would you think if someone kept on cancelling session after session on you?
Then - and THIS is the weird part -
She accuses me of using her as a way to stay connected to Kay?
The pair of us are absolutely lashing out at each other and i have no idea what to respond or how?
shes also got a whole load of my cds - ive tried to be nothing but helpful here and we're winding up having a massive fight that i dont know how to handle ....................................
HEEEEELLLP .................

re the elbows pointing towards the sky point...

That was my error, sorry. What the assessor said
about squats was :
"Cross your arms in front of you and lift your elbows to shoulder height.Done correctly your arms will always remain parallel to the floor and your SHOULDERS will remain pointing to the sky."
My error, hope that makes sense .......

i havent actually been to a class where 71 has been played yet (Pump).Ayhee, our other Pump Instructor - who you will be happy to hear I think has come on in leaps and bounds - i had a gap when i was out of the country for a month or so over the summer and it had been quite a long time since id taken one of Ayhee's classes (Body Pump)and shes come along in MASSIVE leaps since she first started teaching and thats lovely to see.She is still teaching 70 and Kay is teaching release 55 so ive not heard 71 live yet but hopefully someone will do it soon..........

Hi

Just wanted to say thanks for taking so much time to reply to my messages - its really good of you and it really helps to hear others thoughts when thinking about some situations!

Ive been better about Cardio lately too - i try to deal with it by adding in more RPM classes - im doing on average about two RPM's a week now, which can change if i decide to do a double RPM on a Wed Pm,then that goes up to three.

The ONLY issue i have with adding in more Cardio is that im finding to leaves me TOO tired by the time i get to Body Pump and my Body Pump classes then suffer,so sometimes when i add in more RPM and running, which im doing now,my Body Pump classes can drop down to as little as one per week which is whats happened lately.I dont like leaving such a LONG gap in between Pump classes but i have felt a lot better in myself since adding in RPM more - 3 RPM's a week is actually hard going ...........................(For me anyways!)

thanks again for all your time in replying to my messages,i DO appreciate it!

xx
