TAGGED!
Here are the rules:
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 little-known facts/habits about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their profiles and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your profile.
Okay i'm TAGGED. Lets see if I can manage this one :)
Fact #1: I grew up in Chicago and had a pretty wicked Chicago accent before moving to Jersey, developed a pretty wicked Jersey accent before moving to Maryland for college where I got my accent smacked out of me by unamused Maryland-ers. I am very good at hearing and perceiving regional accents and dialects and find it completely FASCINATING - so please dont be offended if I accuse you of having an accent or try to guess where it's from! :)
Fact #2: I am OBSESSED with my 2 jobs: (obviously Les Mills :) and Structural Engineering. I am that geek (engi-NERD as Anjali puts it) that passes by a bridge or neat building, gawks, and then thanks God I get to design that stuff every day. (nerdy thing number 2!)
Fact #3: I used to be a super-turbo cheerleader. Captain in high school, general over-bubbly-ness... Needless to say, Angel smacked that out of me during COMBAT training. I will never smile during a Track 4 again.
Fact #4: I hate hate hate healthy food. I am SOOO not one of those people who says they'd actually prefer a salad or they love just sitting down with a piece of fruit and some nuts - NO WAY - i eat healthy because a)i'm broke from living in NYC and vegetables are actually the cheapest thing i can buy, and b)my metabolism hates me... Pass the pizza, nachos, and buffalo wings!!!
Fact #5: I absolutely can not watch enough NFL football. It consumes my entire Sunday. In fact, I usually schedule quaterlies and classes around football. This past quarterly was Sunday and I snuck peeks at the tv monitors between every class to check out highlights and scores. (by the way, GO EAGLES! and yes, i know they're not having the best year, but i gotta support my team!)
Fact #6: Les Mills inspires me to work out. I don't "naturally" just love to work out on my own, but the atmosphere and team environment of LM programming is contagious. I absolutely adore teaching and taking LM classes and since moving to the big city it's the only exercise I get (unless you count walking in NYC all day every day... wait - yes you should definitely count that!)
I tagged 6 people that I didn't (and still don't) know in order to learn a little more about my LM buddies and spread the game: Elora, Dante, Christian, Priscilla, and then my new friend Allison and of course had to tag back the Slinky Minx herself, Anj.
hugs!

Ok! I FINALLY am putting up a profile after much coercing, threatening, and pure physical abuse from my girls :) . I currently teach COMBAT at Golds Gym in Gaithersburg, Maryland but live in New York City. Bizarre, right? Well, pretty much the day after I submitted my certification video for COMBAT, I moved from Washington, DC to NYC where, interestingly enough, there are NO Les Mills classes. Since getting to New Jersey for the nearest available teaching opportunities is not an easy task with working full time and attending Columbia University for my Masters in Civil Engineering, I use "visiting my boyfriend in Washington DC" as an excuse to teach my shared Saturday Combat class 2-3 times a month. Phew! That was a lot to say. In a year I hope to be effectively done with the NYC part of my life (and graduate school) and will move back to DC where I plan on getting 1-2 more certifications. I absolutely adore my girls at Golds in Gaithersburg - they are completely my support system while I'm displaced (don't get me wrong though - NYC is really fun!!!)
