OMG QUARTERLY UPDATE: (the following applies only to RPM and PUMP)
Fav TRACK of the quarter: On your Way to the Disco/Rogue Traders (BP#66/ biceps)
Fav LYRIC of the quarter: "You've got to move it, feel the temperature! Into the rythm, let the fire burn!" (RPM#39, hills 1)
Fav MUSIC MOMENT of the quarter: In RPM#39's Mountain Climb (7), during the build up to the power training phases; I personally instruct my participants to add a gear each time they hear that beat come back from the quiet. It goes more and more often and then before you know it you're pushing more load than you thought possible. Then the quiet before the rhythm comes back is just SOOOO FREAKIN INTENSE!!!!
Fav BEAT of the quarter: Cisko Disko (BP#66/Squats)
Fav RELAXING SONG of the Quarter: Always on your side (BP#66/Stretch)
Fav SOOTHING/CRUIZY SONG of the Quarter: Amazing/Seal (RPM#39/Mixed terrain)
Fav MOVE/POSITION used this Quarter: Tie between The Power Training in RPM#39 Track 7 and the "Thread the Needle" Side plank Roll in BP#66 Track 9
Glenn Ostegard's RPM and BP choreography this Quarter: 9.5/10
Glenn Ostegard's RPM and BP music choice this Quarter: 9.0/10
RPM and BP intensity this quarter: 9.0/10
Please let me know whether you agree or not!!!!!!

"People forget the past. People can't tell the future. All you have is this moment, so live it fearlessly."
Kia Ora,
My name's Colby, whats yours? Congratulations to all fellow Les Mills warriors against the obesity epidemic on fighting the fight that matters!! KIA KAHA!!!!
Well... about me..... hmmm. Interesting question. Living or dead? Real or fictional? Is this just a quick hello, a handshake? Or will we sit down and chat over a cup of coffee? Too many variables, I don't know if I can handle this. Regardless, Top 5, living or dead: 1) Les Mills RPM 2) Les Mills BodyPump 3) Snow Patrol 4) The Fray 5) Romanticism
I am indeed a BopdyPump and RPM instructor in Jindabyne/Canberra, NSW/ACT, Australia. I am extremely passionate about my instructing, and am plagued by the Les Mills bug! I have a goal; in 5 years I want to be a Proinstructor and Trainer in RPM, Body Pump and Body Combat, and just an instructor in Body Step and Body Attack. I want to make a difference to the lives of people all around the world, and share the common goals of Les Mills instructors everywhere:
I am body.
I am mind.
I am strength.
I am endurance.
I am passion.
I am inspiring.
I am motivating.
I am an educator.
I am life changing.
I am a Les Mills instructor.
In other news... Uh, I dont know, really.... My full name Is Colby Glenn Rook and I live in Jindabyne, Snowy Mountains, New South Wales, Australia, Southern Hemisphere, Earth, Milky Way, Universe, postcode 2627.
Now, many people ask me about my name... to tell you the truth I have no idea if it actually came from the cheese 'Colby'... but I am not the only Colby out there, no! I went to school with a 'Colby Harrison' at Wanniassa Hills Primary School in Canberra, so there! Unfortunately she was a girl, but I swear it is a conjoined name.
Anyhoo, I was born in Newcastle (yes that means I support the knights *sighs*) and we came down to the mountains when i was 3, I think. We then moved between Canberra and here during my transition from primary school to high school, and I really think of Canberra as my true home. I love the people I know up there, and I hate Jindabyne so much it is not funny.
So what else? um... I XC-ski lots, and used to swim even more. Looking to hopefully make a Winter Olympics soon. I love XC skiing so much.... the scenery, the work, just everything about it is awesome (except the tight pants)! I work lifeguarding at thredbo pool also.
Unfortunately, I have a condition called romanticistic-lovedicosis; symptoms are characterised by falling in love with 90% of the girls I meet. It might sound good, but trust me it's not.... I dont know why I do it, but I just see the best in them all!!! Oh well, I'm doomed to that, I guess - you know what they say: love (and Les Mills classes) makes the world go round!. Another symptom is having 'love actually' as your favourite movie, which isn't exactly something to brag about to your mates, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, I like the simple stuff; I dont drink, or do drugs or any of that; as much as I respect the rights of people to do stuff like that, I think that if you have to rely on getting drunk of getting stoned to have a good time then you're in a pretty bad place. I'm not quite straight-edge, as I dont believe in the religious side of that stereotype. I just like going to parties, hanging out, talking about whatever's on my mind, etc. I hate lying; it is the one thing I can't stand to do or cop. I also care too much about what people think of me.
So there. Hey!
Kia Ora and KIA KAHA!!!!!!
