It's official. My Les Mills journey will take me to the home of the "mother ship", to be a presenter in the filming of BP70 in Auckland! Filming will take place during the first week of Feb '09.

It will be an exciting honor to represent Les Mills Northeast and the USA on the big stage.

On August 23rd 2008, LMNE and LMMA combined to create the largest Les Mills quarterly to ever occur in North America with 830 participants.

We also set an all-time Les Mills record for the largest BODYPUMP class with 722 people! Words cannot describe the fitness euphoria that was created for hundreds of people throughout the day. EXCITING HISTORY:

What a ride. My passion for fitness began when my mother, Mary Murphy, entered the fitness industry as the co-owner of a local club with Bill Austin in 1984. I held numerous jobs in their multiple clubs through the years, including front desk reception, personal trainer, club manager, and regional manager. After graduating with a finance degree from the University of Notre Dame (Go IRISH!), I tried a number of different careers before following in their footsteps. Alongside them and Bill's daughter, Kim Kenyon, we now co-own 3 world class Gold’s Gym locations in New York’s Hudson Valley, and were awarded “Franchisee of the Year” at the 2006 Gold’s Gym convention in Las Vegas.

After rapid success with the Les Mills programs, my leap to BC and BP trainer and presenter, and a solid passion for these life changing programs, my partners and I formed the Les Mills Northeast agency. As President, I am determined to bring incredible Les Mills growth and momentum to the US fitness industry. There is no better option to providing the world with life changing fitness experiences.

Many of our quarterlies are showcased at our Gold's Gym Sports Complex in Poughkeepsie NY (the "Big House"), the largest Gold's Gym in the world, standing at 121,000 square feet. Please visit us someday.

I live by a simple philosophy of loving life...working hard and playing hard. In my spare time (if there is such a thing), I enjoy good times with family and friends, skiing (deep powder-hound), scuba diving, mountain biking, and water sports.

Freaky side - I absolutely LOVE extreme weather. Tornado chasing is high on my 'to do' list.

We get to experience this life one time. Make the most of it. I hope to meet many more of you "in the trenches" as the Les Mills phenomenon sweeps the world.
