Qualified To Teach

Hey all!
I'm not teaching Les Mills currently and I'm looking for a sub position. My gym changed owners, hence no more Les Mills license.
I'm currently working out at home to the FIRM videos.
I just received a dvd yesterday from this past quarterly held in Houston. Although I couldn't attend - I found out I won the essay contest for the "Presenter for a Day!" Thank-you to Les Mills for sending me the dvd and for the honor!! Wish I could have been up there presenting BP with ya'll!
I may relocate this next year or sooner to a city further north like Austin, San Antonio, or Chorpus Christi.
Right now I am available in the Harlingen, Texas area to teach or sub Body Pump.
I trained for Body Flow, but injured my shoulder and could not submit the assessment video. So may have to do it over - which is fine because I love the training. My dream is to train for Body Jam. I love to dance - but I know it will be a challenge for me - all the right and left stuff gets confusing!! But I want to try! After that I'd like to learn Body Combat. I love to kick!!
A little more about me: I have a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and two teaching certifications (elementary and theatre arts). I'm currently a Theatre Arts teacher for Middle School and am raising my 11-year old son solo.
I have a houseful with 8 pets!! Three small dogs, 1 cat and 4 puppies. I'm giving the pups away soon - so I'll be down to 3 doggies and 1 cat.
I've had a passion for fitness since I started tap dancing and ballet lessons - then swimming and skating at the age of 7. I then went for drill team, dance team, cheerleading and musicals. I started working for my first gym when I was 17 and have been working in health and fitness ever since. I got certified through AFFA for step and group fitness.
I was a featured success story in Oxygen magazine which was real cool and I competed once in Fitness.
My dream is to make health and fitness into more than a lifelong hobby - I'd like to take it on as a career and make a difference in the quality of people's lives and health. I'm sure we all do and that's why we're here.

Availability

Body Pump - evenings, Saturday a.m., Sunday afternoon.
I can also put together my own classes of step, kickbox, ball pilates, pilates, yoga/pilates fusion and body sculpting.
I'm available to substitute any time - evenings and/or weekends. I will answer my phone and say yes 99% of the time - you can count on me!
I'm also available to help with launches and team teaching for fun!!

Hey Gina, here's your 35 Birthday Wishes for you to enjoy through out the year! Use them wisely since you are still so very young and you know you look much, much younger than you are!! Les Mills looks totally Awesome on you!

Hector	well im still teaching step at olympics on the weekends, since i live in harlingen, but i work in brownsville, so Gold is the perfect choice. awesome gym. Im not sure which les mills stuff id fit best into teaching, but i love pump and attack. You should stop by olympus one of these weekends and be my guest

Hector	Hey there. So where in Harlingen do you teach? I didnt realise they even had any kind of group fitness at Daves? I taught step and kick box at Olympus gym for almost 9 years...and now im a member at Golds in Brownsville..so im trying to get Les Mills cert. I havent taught group fitness in almost a year now though. Id love to try your class. Let me know where and when?
