My Favourite Programs

Profile

No, that photo isn't me - but it serves a purpose.

I attend Pump twice a week, and Balance once. If my gym timetable was different ... I also do an indoor Boot Camp twice a week - a combination of weights, step and cardio.

I've been participating in Les Mills programs since early 2007, and I'm an old hand at group fitness - I did aerobics in the 80s, and Super Circuit in the 90s. I used to run, but a partial medial menisectomy ended that. In recent times I've done a little Tai Chi, and Yoga is an ongoing interest.

I work a desk job in the City, and live in the far southern suburbs. I regret my commute (I could be in the gym!) I attend my group fitness classes at a small community recreation centre where I live.

Ah, I had some of my misspent youth firing up my Beetle to Moana..

These days, Port Willunga is my point of peace.

Humour is good, people take themselves far too seriously after all..for me, GF is just that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm good ( and I'm the GFM at the club that films every quarter that Rick eluded to)..but, it's just Group Fitness, should be fun..get the setups, chorey etc..but hell, I want people to walk out having had a helluva good time whilst busting their arses..and want to come back and do it again..

Let people take the scenic route if they need to is my philosophy, at least they're moving...

The Parade is just fine and dandy thank you!

Just back from RPM, love the Wednesday night crew ( well, I actually enjoy all of the days..).

How far South are you? Are we talking Goolwa, or a little closer in?

I did post earlier on the "Demographic" thread with my 2 cents worth..yours, I always enjoy..very thorough, pensive and rational.

No problem at all.

I may have lowered my standards of late on the forums, shall refrain from that from hereon in..(unless, super pressed..)

Rick and Jason are friends, irregardless of that, their posts are always eloquent, articulate and informative..as were yours on this thread.

Shall enjoy the read, and hope to learn something new, or have my logic challenged!

Hey Ian, thanks for the msg. Ive decided to give physio another go and see if it works this time. I would prefer the op but right at the present moment I cant afford the time off my feet. The last couple of months have been pretty hard for me. I lost my job in Aug and right now I need to find employment and therefore cant afford to be off my feet for 3 months while I recover.

How did you manage to injury your foot? Did you drop something on it or did you kick something, lol

Thanks so much for the "Namah Shivaya" in plain English. I am now more aware and open to it.

Glad to know you also love Pump and Balance. I am a certified Balance instructor who just started my Pump last week. And I sored for 3 days! I thought I had a stroke, as my brain and body are totally "off".

But love the funny feeling.

I need technical advice! Sorry to burst in on you - I just don't know who to ask and I see you're on line. Hi.

I just got an iPod and I thought I'd be able to see and study my new classes on it, but so far haven't figured out how to get them on... Ever heard of anyone being able to view their training dvds on their iPod before?

I'd really appreciate the advice, or connection with a nice Mac-geek-instructor who you think might know. By the way, the computer I watch the dvds on now, is my iBook, and it wants to read the dvds with iDVD. I would like to open them with QuickTime, but haven't been able to do that yet either.
