Profile

Hey Hey!!! Allow me to introduce myself. Im Robert from Augusta GA. Currently I teach BodyJam, BodyStep, and BodyFlow. OMG I cant believe I did it. I made it thru my Flow training. Thanks Jacob you were awsome!!!

Before the summer of 2006, I wouldnt be caught dead in a group x studio. Now you cant keep me out of one. I got dragged into a BodyStep class kicking and screaming.(thanks Liz)Now here I am! INSTRUCTIONG! Its amazing what Les Mills has done for me, my body, and my overall well-being. It has trully been a life changing experience for me. It keeps getting better every day.

This summer has had its highs and lows. I had a minor knee surgery and recently left the beautiful Roanoke VA to come back home. On the bright side, I quit smoking back in May and I've lost about 30lbs since then .(My pictures here are pre weight loss) Wow I feel great!!!

BIG NEWS (11.07.08)
I'm moving to Richmond VA!! Ill be heading up the last week of December just in time to bring in the new year. I am now going to be the Group Fitness Director of the new Golds Gym ARBORETUM. This is like a total dream come true. I cant believe I acctually got this job. I just know I am trully blessed to be able to make Les Mills and Group Fitness a part of my everyday life. NO MORE WAITING TABLES!!!!! FINALLY!!!

FLOW (11.26.08)
Filmed Bodyflow 42 this week and I made myself proud. It took about a year to get the courage to go thru that training. Thank god I was trained on such an amazing release. BF 42 ROCKS!! Can't wait to see all the new releases in Charlotte Dec 13th. First Q in 2 years that I have been to so im dying to get there!!

I'm so sorry but it's not me! ;) But I'm sure it will be somebody great! That bites that you have to go through all over again - but actually it may be good. Double the training will make you even better! Good luck with it - just have fun.

thats great =) lm programs are additive :P i would love to do more programs (combat, balance and maybe pump) but at this point i think 3 programs in 5 months is enough for me to chew for awhile :D so maybe end of nxt yr i might look at another one - studying at uni full time doesnt help either with time to learn cheorry and do the trainings ;D
good luck with the training u do in jan, of course being expeienced now you'll be fine :D
take care, keep in touch

That is great! You will be right up my way now - you can head up and we can team teach - that would be really fun!

I am the Regional Group Fitness Director for GGI (Gold's Gym International) so I oversee the gf managers at 17 of the corporate clubs. You will be working at a franchise - but we're all still part of the Gold's Gym family. I may even have to head down your way sometime and check out your club.

Good luck with everything and congrats. Miss you in Charlotte too - but you'll have a blast for sure.

Hey Robert,

I saw your post on the jam forum, so figured I would say hi :). I have to say I totally agree with you on the marilyn manson track... Not typically my style of music, but it's so much fun to rock it out and get CraZZYY!

Oh and I totally feel ya on the knee surgery thing! I had major knee surgery a little over a year ago. It totally sucked. I was out of work for a month and in physical therapy for 14. Yuck!!! Was so excited to go back to the gym, and became a les mills junkie :-). I don't teach, just a participant, but if the knee keeps up, maybe I will someday!

Congrats on the weight loss!
