Qualified To Teach

Hi I'm a 26 year old 7 year veteran of Les Mills. I love these programs. These are the only thing I do in a club anymore. I used to be a guy that worked out in the free weights and did some occassional cardio on my own but from 7 years ago to today I've been transformed into a Les Mills junkie. I'm certified to teach BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, BODYSTEP, and BODYFLOW. I'm interested in working into an RPM, BODYATTACK, BODYVIVE, and possibly BODYJAM certifications. I am also in the hunt for information concerning becoming a Master Trainer. BODYPUMP and BODYSTEP are the programs I'm thinking about Master Training in.

I work at a Hospital in Mt. Vernon when I'm not working at the gym. Or I guess it kinda goes the other way around. I work at the gym when I'm not working for the Hospital. I enjoy doing things outside when the weather permits. Such as hiking, fishing, riding trails, golfing, tennis, basketball, pretty much any sport. When summertime finally shows up swimming at a lake near my house and cliff jumping can take up some of my time as well. I find reading books for pleasure to be fun but when there is good weather I'd much rather be outside. I enjoy photography as a hobby. Took a class in college to find out how to develop and print my shots. Totally awesome stuff. Nothing like looking at a print I've done and being able to say that I did that from start to finish. Amazing.

Like I've said I've been teaching for five years. Exercise has always been an important part of my life but when I was a freshman in high school it became so much more important. I got diagnosed with Type I Diabetes some 11 years ago now and without exercise my doctor said I probably would have died in 2003 when I had to go to the ER. How's that for a dose of reality therapy. So since then Les Mills and the classes I teach have become more and more important to me. I like to take my passion for teaching and find ways to touch my members. There's no feeling better then having a member come up to you at the end of a class or someone who's been taking classes with you for months and have them say what a difference "you" have made in their lives. It's incredible!!! Sometimes we don't think that we are touching people dramatically every day but we truly can create life changing exercise experiences every day.

I'm glad to be a part of the Les Mills community and look forward to picking the brains of others to find out where I can improve.

Availability

I just got a new position at the hospital that I work at. This opens up all my evenings all week and guarantees me weekends off so I can teach any weekend any time too. I'll be out of work at 4pm at the latest during the week so any 5:30 or later classes are right up my alley. Let me know if you need some help. Looking into RPM and ATTACK trainings in the next quarter. Plus I've been certified in COMBAT before just need to re-up it. That'll give me six of eight.

Teri	Hey TJ, thanks again for sat. That was still fun even with the surprises. Not sure how it got signed in but I think I signed in for pump so if so I will owe u some $$. Hope the new position at work is going well. I got step assessment back and passed...phew. So now I have aquired some back releases and I am working on learning some new tracks..thank goodness. Hey TJ,
that works for me..that will also help w/ the mic changes since I think I need to take mine in for maintenence...it starts ok..then fades gradually out. Hey ..how is the new position? Total schedule change huh? so what classes are you going to teach now? I guess I will probably just move out in front of u for 70 of step since I don't know that one...just got 73 and am going to start working on it. Tell me it gets easier to learn as we go along....please!

Hey TJ!
I would love to this sat...Which half of which do u want...I think I am better at the front half of step..although..I am sooo sick of the tunes. Any part of 66 I can do..not sure if we are mixing it up yet or what. I just got 73 and ordered 69..and no news on our assessment videos yet...just got notification that they received it today. I felt pretty good about it...although there were a few oops...but perfection takes time ya know?

Hey TJ!! Yeah launch was pretty slim this go round....but I sure had fun..I felt like a teenager again racing from teaching in Stanwood to changing clothes in the car to jumping on a bike and vaaarooomm!!! Fun...heehee. Yeah would be a blast if you could add RPM to your bag of tricks. I will look at my schedule and see if Anna is ok w/ the whole teaching step before we are officially passed and the team teaching would be easy if we each just signed in for one class.
