Q: I’m pregnant can I still participate in LES MILLS™ classes?
A: Safety is our number one priority, so we recommend talking with your doctor or midwife who will advise you appropriately as they have the best knowledge of your medical history. Also, chat to your class instructor beforehand to let them know you’re pregnant, so that they can suggest some modifications for you throughout the class.

Q: I’m pregnant, can I still teach LES MILLS™ programs?
A: Safety is our number one priority, so we recommend talking with your doctor or midwife who will advise you appropriately as they have the best knowledge of your medical history. We recommend taking a DVD of the class to your medical professional too, so they’re fully aware of the workout. If you have the all-clear to exercise, chat to your group fitness manager as they will be able to offer valuable guidance and support.

Q: Why do you sometimes use the same song in multiple program releases?
A: Music is a massive part of the LES MILLS™ experience – we’re passionate about it! There are a number of considerations involved in selecting music: we have to be able to license it, it has to stand the test of individual music tastes across our diverse global audiences, and it has to match the choreography. LES MILLS™ Program Directors work closely with our Music team to select the most appropriate music possible for each track and ensure a real mix of songs is featured in each release.

Q: How many times a week can I perform BODYPUMP™?
A: For ultimate results and motivation, we recommend you do BODYPUMP™ three times per week. Remember, your body needs recovery time between workouts, so rest for a day between classes. Please refer to the BODYPUMP™ information pages for full details.

Q: Can I do CXWORX™ before or after another LES MILLS™ class?
A: CXWORX™ is hardcore! So we recommend avoiding taking a CXWORX™ class before a resistance training workout (such as BODYPUMP™). Exhausting your core muscles before this type of training can lead to injury. You can take CXWORX™ before cardio classes, however you need to make sure you use low intensity options until you feel your core muscles have recovered from the CXWORX™ class.
