THE COMPANY

More than four million people take our BODYPUMP™, BODYATTACK™, BODYFLOW™, BODYCOMBAT™, BODYSTEP™, BODYJAM™ and RPM™ classes every week!
Due to the recent expansion of our activities in the USA market, we are now searching for a Senior Sales Executive with strong leadership skills to join us in our quest to become one of the world’s top 100 global brands by 2015, which we will achieve through our purpose “to create life-changing fitness experiences, everytime, everywhere”.
THE POSITION
The primary function of this role is to establish and implement sales strategy and plans that will ensure the net growth of Les Mills products and programs in the USA and globally. The International Sales Director will be responsible for setting company targets and leading the development and implementation of effective strategy in order to ensure that those targets are achieved. You will be part of LMI’s global executive team and thus will be required to provide strategic input and assistance to the management team and LMI’s distributor networks globally.
In particular you will be required to lead the sales effort on major account and large chain opportunities in the US market and support the sales efforts of a nationwide distributor network. You will need to have or develop strong relationships in the US market with all stakeholders in the LMI journey in that market, including clubs, agents, employees, suppliers, shareholders and the community which LMI interacts with.
THE INDIVIDUAL
You will be a leader and a good people manager with a strong sales background. You will also have a background of experience in high end, strategic selling activities, including the development of joint venture and “multi party” opportunities, and multi-site sales. Strong relationships will be critical to your way of operating and you will be able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams to achieve a result.
You must possess a broad range of senior management capabilities including superior levels of planning, organisation, communication, decision making and technology skills. In addition you will be university degree qualified and possess a high degree of financial literacy and be profit focussed.
Finally, you will need to have a personal commitment to good health and fitness, and a good commercial understanding of the fitness industry, which you will have gained either through your full time career, participation in sports, or private investment activity.
LOCATION
The role will be based in the US, preferably at the LMI head office in California. There will be frequent travel requirements.
REMUNERATION
A premium executive remuneration package which reflects the seniority and importance of the role will be offered to the successful applicant. The package will include salary, performance based incentive and relocation costs if necessary.
