Profile

Hi there, my name is allison gelardi.I am originally from NYC, but moved to Florida 2 years ago. That is when i discovered the Les Mills programs! I was immediately addicted to RPM, BodyPump and Body Flow! Within a year, I became a RPM instructor, and most recently a BodyPump instructor.
I have been an athlete all my life, almost before I could walk! I began swimming at 3 years old, and never stopped. I competed in various national chanmpionships, and became a swim instructor after my competition days were over. I have always enjoyed taking on new and intense challenges. I have completed 1 full marathon, 4 half marathons, and various length triathlons. my goal is to finish a half iron man in the next 2 years.
On my personal side, I got married last october which coincidentally changed my last name by only 3 letters--it is Minardi now! We met at my 10 year high school reunion in NY, turns out we had the same first grade teacher 26 years ago!

Hey, congrats to you too! Yes, I mailed mine in back in Sept. too and since I hadn't heard anything I emailed them to get an ETA, and Anjelica told me that they had sent my results a month ago! But I never got them so she resent them to me....good thing I followed up or I would be wondering for a long time! Are you teaching it much? Hope you're well!

Hey girl--did you get a chance to sign up for the RPM intensive in Tampa with Dan?? It sold out in 2 days, I was lucky to get a spot. It is at my club too! Anyway, was hoping to maybe see you there...!
PS--I'm videotaping on Friday, did you hear back yet?

Hey, sorry just now getting to this. I had to go to NY also but for a funeral unfortunately, my great grandma passed away. I just got back. Anyway, I can't believe you are about to do your video! You go girl! I haven't gotten a lot of chances to teach it yet, I've team taught it twice and am doing it again on Friday, then I have about 4 days lined up to sub and do the full class myself. Once I do that a few times, I'll be comfortable videoing. It's not the chory that makes me nervous, its the transitions between all the tracks that gets me--trying not to talk to much but say what you need to!
Oh, and I ended up getting RPM 8, 17, and 20. I can't remember which ones you were hunting for! I have the music for 19 and 23, but no notes, and then everything else under 20 I'm missing. So whatever you can find, is great, but don't kill yourself! Now I have to work on tracking down some BP old stuff!!
Take care and let me know how your video goes!

Hey girl--so I launched the RPM + last Saturday and then right after I team taught the Pump launch--I had tracks 3, 4, 7, 8. It killed me! I totally underestimated how hard it would be to teach both back to back like that! But although I was laid out on the couch the rest of the day, it was awesome to teach Pump! We had over 50 in our launch, so that was really exciting! Have you gotten a chance to team teach it yet at your club? Hope you're doing well:-)

Oh no worries, whenever you find them! You did get me excited about some new stuff though! I am doing tracks 3,4, 7, 8, for the launch. I do wish I was doing 2 too, but only cause I love the song! But then for RPM I'm doing 1-5. I have hardly started learning that one yet!!! Have fun on your trip:-)

Hey Allison!

I was checking out the Manasota crew and I found you. Good to see you on here. In just a few lines, I know more about you than in the past year. ;-P
