Joanna

Hi, my name is Joanna, and I have been a BodyFlow instructor for over 2 years. In my "real" life, I am the National Merchandising Manager at Kimberly-Clark Corporation, working on the marketing and sales of the KOTEX/DEPEND/POISE Brands. I have also worked on HUGGIES Diapers, PULL-UPS Training Pants and KLEENEX Facial Tissue, managing new products, trade budgets, pricing, etc... I am proud to say I work for a company who has a mission statement all about the "health, hygiene, and well-being of people everywhere, everyday." I am equally proud to live up to that mission statement and try and spread that virus of positive energy and health in both my professional and personal lives. I am a single mom of beautiful, energetic, happy and healthy 5-year-old, Kirsten. She is my little angel, and we do everything together, including practicing new releases and singing along to the songs in Flow.
I discovered BodyFlow as a member almost 4 years ago, after I had a serious surgery, entirely due to stress. My doctor didn't prescribe any medications -- just yoga. I laughed, thinking there was no way I was "organic" enough to take a yoga class, imagining rain drops and drum beats as part of class. Then I took a Pump class and stayed afterwards for Flow. I was hooked. I attended 6 days a week, lost 35 pounds, lost numerous inches, and have kept everything off for over 4 years now. I LOVE teaching BodyFlow -- it is such a rewarding experience to watch people transform their bodies and minds, and keep coming back for more. The members have become friends and family, and it is truly a gift we, as instructors, get to share with them every time they come to class.
