Hi Kit, Just back from Dubai...had a great time! I did take your advice and went to Fitness First in Battuta Mall, but they charged UAD 100 for a day-pass, so only did it once. Did Combat and Yoga, both were quite good. Can't belive they haven't launched BC41 yet!? I also went to the Le Royal Meridien Hotel (just across the road from our hotel) for a Pump class. The instructor there was a nice Aussie girl called Michelle (in case you know her?). Well, I had my 'fix' so I was happy. Can't wait to go back again... Hope you had a nice break too... Take care, Kati

Hi Kit, Thanks for all the fab tips! I am only there for the week (flying on Sun) so can't imagine I'll have time for Abu Dhabi, maybe next time...I was in Dubai last year for a few days and loved it so decided to return. (Being the school break, it doesn't cost more than going to Spain!) Quite aware of the prices there, but I just can't resist the fantastic food, which is more of a reason to make sure I get to do some classes while there :) I will try to get the info before I go, though I'm a bit snowed under with the college work. Well, I suppose that's what happens when you go away for the holidays...Soo looking fwd to it though! Need that sunshine to recharge for the winter... Thanks again for your help, take care and enjoy your break! Kati

Hi Kit, Thanks for your message. I love the course, though I'm still at the 'excited stage', it's pretty much what I expected.. And so far I've managed to keep up with the 'youngsters' :) ! How is uni going for you? Just a quick question...I think I read that you worked in the UAE...I will be going to Dubai during the October holidays (wohoo, can't wait!!). I checked on the class locator already, there are several gyms offering LesMills, but if you could recommend a 'good one' it would be great. (I'll be staying in the Marina area). Thanks! Take care, Kati

Hi Kit, Thanks for the quick reply. My local LC is the Gorbals, but I do occasionally go to Tollcross or Bellahouston, so I might have seen you there... I used to work for a large cruise line - small hint in my user name ;), then ended up on private yachts for the past few years. I had a great time but now I decided to "have a normal life". My other passion apart from traveling is sport. I used to be a sprinter way back in high school and since I discovered LM, never been happier. I just LOVE it! I am doing the course mainly because I'd love to work within the sport sector, though not yet sure what. I am hoping that I will get a clearer picture once I am involved in a different level. In any case it will be a challenge as I've been away from "proper" studying for a looong time, but I am also very keen to learn, and getting super excited as the day gets closer (my induction is next week). Which college did you go to and how did you find the HND course? How long is your uni and what will you do after? It must be hard studying and teaching at the same time..? Well, maybe I will find out someday... Take care, Kati

Hi Kit, I just came across your profile and you look familiar to me. Do you teach in Glasgow? I am a Glasgow Club member and have the feeling that I've seen you somewhere..?? BTW, congrats for your HND, I am just about to start the very same course here! I am a 'bit' older than you (and only a participant), but hope I will be able to cope...Quite excited about it though... Oh, and I also used to work on cruise ships so we have a lot in common! Take care, Kati

HELLO KIT! Just checking my messages and I dont think I ever answered you (shame, shame). I loved hearing from you and I so fondly remember the days of UAE and ADHFC. I especailly remember your awesome classes and wish I could take them again! I remember you once told me to think about instructing and I never took it seriously. After coming back to USA and missing my awesome instructors in UAE (so true) I finally decided to give it a go and I absolutely love it! As you can see, I dove in and went crazy and yes, I am now very hooked. I would love to "chat" more. My em is angela_akl@hotmail.com. I know you are busy but would love to reconnect some more. Hope all is well and that you are happy! XXOO
