Sprained my ankle teaching Jam...all carpeted gyms should be shot! Fortunately it was near the end of track 9 so my class took a walk around the room and did a little stretch to finish it. It's almost better now which i am very very grateful for, i can walk but can't flex.
SYTYCD was soooo good last night, i've gotta say i'm developing favourites and atm they are lauren and neil. my sister liked them from the beginning but they are both so awesome. shane's spider transformer chore was awesome good too.

Anyone seen HAIRSPRAY? Awesome movie, watch it you'll love it. If you're into musicals. And who isn't right?
Gorgeous weather atm, not that weather is ever very interesting but seriously anyone who doesn't live in Australia is missing out! 25, sunny, cool breeze. Aaah. BBQ in the park weather.
Bellydancing is harder than i thought it would be, serious abdominal contraction work, no joke. Totally up for the challenge though. Ever seen a male bellydancer before? Saw one at a restaurant the other night, man was he GOOOOD! So much control, he could make his lower abdominals wave. Crazy.
I'm hoping at the moment that one day women will learn that they can't spot reduce fat and that doing crunches won't get rid of the fat on their tummy. Also annoyed about kids junk food characters who wear runners like it's cool to eat rubbish as long as you do a bit of exercise. Yes that was more whinging but what can i say...i guess this is more like a diary than a blog coz nobody is gonna read it! ha! except me.
over and out.

Huwwo huwwo peoples...well okay so nobody's gonna read this but i feel like writing. Sooo....

We launched Bodyjam 42 at one of my clubs on saturday- it was AWESOME despite the fact that the participant to instructor ratio was only 2:1 ahahaha so sad. At least there were 3 instructors. Who WENT OFF if i may say so. Hot matching outfits and all...and the participants really gave it a go, think they liked it :) Hope they did! I am wishing at the moment though that the people in some of my classes would just CHILL OUT and RELAX! It's bodyjam man, not a pool tournament! I try my best to relax them, saying all the time that it's cool to not get it right or freestyle or whatever and it's all about the attitude...but it's ingrained in their psyche. They'll get there. I hope!

Something else i'm struggling with is the little turn in BJ 42. All the clubs i teach at have carpeted floors and nobody can pull off the turn without doing themselves a potential knee injury *argh*- including me and i have pivot point shoes! What can you do.

That's my whinge, i'm over it! On the flipside am LURVING 42, so much fun. My instructor friend gets goosebumps every time we talk about it. "The bounce" is "the best". *AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!*****And can't get over contemporary rock, aka dancing in a blender. Songs totally rockrockrock and i have never felt more like throwing up at the end of a section. WOOHOO!!! And what to say about the warmup....LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! Totally puts a smile on everyone's dial.
I'm hoping for some more stretching and less dancing in the groovedown of further releases though...haha aren't i opinionated? guess that's why it's called a groovedown! And the Throw It Up Combo is the bomb. Lots of goosebumps moments.

Don't have many thoughts as yet on BP63, have only taught it once. But i love it of course! The innovations are great and i think i actually love ALL the songs! There's gotta be another way to say you love something, i think using the word love all the time is overkill.

I'm starting bellydancing training..oh tomorrow! woohoo! it's gonna be awesome. and when my shoulder gets a bit better i'll do a bit of pole. there was a news report last night on "kids doing pole dancing" and how all these people are disgusted by it, thought that was funny. it's a great workout! okay so it does come with a certain stigma but honestly, if it gets them away from the tv and into the world of core strength training good for them!

On a different note, something terrible happened to me this morning. I had an early morning class. I live over half an hour away from the gym. I woke up 15 minutes before the class was supposed to start. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't even hear the alarm. Not good. Not good. Not good. BAD INSTRUCTOR! it was bound to happen once in my life. may that by the one and only time. i cringe at the thought.

Heard the BODCAST? Thought it was cool. Hanging out for more. Then again i'm the type to really get into this thing then not look at it again for a year.

Starting a few new classes next week, hoping the body can take it.

Yep...that's about it.
Arohanui. Love, Peace and Mung Beans Baby.
