Profile

Hi, thanks for looking at my profile! I am new to the world of Les Mills having completed my first training program in December 2007 for Body Balance. In 2007 I also completed my Certificate III in Fitness (group exercise). At the moment I don't have a regular class of my own but have covered a number of freestyle low impact classes like Soft Start And TTT/ABT.

In my other life I am a mum of 2 and work casually as a physiotherapist at my local hospital. :)

*Update June 2008*
Well, my Body Balance certificate arrived in the mail yesterday so finally it is official! How exciting to join the ranks of the internationally recognised Les Mills instructors!! I now have one regular BB class and am aiming to have 3 by the end of the year.

I have also signed up for BodyVive training in August so bring it on!

*August 25, 2008*
Completed BodyVive training this weekend on BV08.
Pass!!! Woohoo!! Now to find some classes to teach. . . .

*March 2010*
So, I finally stopped putting it off and have now received my certification in BodyVive - woo hoo! I now teach 5 classes a week (2 Vive, 3 Balance) and work part time 2 days a week at the local hospital as well as caring for my 2 beautiful kids. Life is busy but good!

Hi Vive!

Hi Sam, Thanks for your message, no offense taken. I do know what you mean by getting frustrated by certain individual opinions, it happens to me too sometimes. So far I've managed to refrain from getting too personal and just focus on the subject discussed. Not always easy I admit! In any case, what was quite clear is that the topic was quite subjective, that's where my confusion lies too. (It shouldn't really be!) The question was a kind of 'homework' for us so I thought I can 'use' you guys in the name of 'research'. Of course since then I spoke to my Stretch Training teacher (who is also a BB instructor), so I am getting a clearer picture, but still a lot to learn... Thanks again for your input, see you on another thread somewhere... Take care, Kati

I know what you mean about the other forums going crazy.I read them from time to time and have a huge laugh!!! So bold!! Some sound like they are one thread away from an all-in-brawl.Especially the pumpers-they have a lot of grunt to get off their chests.Makes for very interersting discussion! For the moment I prefer our nice little Vive forum where the support is palpable. Keep enjoying! Maddy

Hi Sam thanks for the message. I did the QW last Saturday and I think this release is just awesome. Musically and moves!!! Though there are a few things I'm struggling with - like the reach bach for the foot in track 5. Will do a review once I've learned it properly. Do you know I have,'t seen or done Vive yet!!! All the best. Roger
