Hello!

Well... I never know what to say on these things... I am currently living in Canberra, ACT, and I only take balance, for fear of being a gumby in any other (faster) class! HAHA!

gymnast, ex dancer... semi keen gym goer lol

Oh and not that proud to admit this, but I'm a BALANCE groupie, I follow it around to about 4 different gyms in my area :) just to get my fix (at least once) every day... ;)

ok i used to only do balance, then it became balance and jam and now it's balance, jam and RPM... lol the list is growing... ;)

Holla if you wanna chat or whatever!

We're now up to three Balance classes per week! Now there's just the need to get more Combat ones. Try the 'Banter' thread for some less hardcore gym chat which includes the ongoing saga of one of the worst instructors it's ever been my misfortune to encounter. There's also far less aggro on there than other parts of the forums. It's a shame Les Mills isn't doing it for you at the moment. All I can suggest is that you don't do something if you're not enjoying it. Be aware that things go in cycles and that a factor elsewhere may be impacting your view of certain classes. If that changes so might your opinion of Les Mills. Good luck with things, especially since winter will reduce the road riding. It's nice to see you back here. (Been trying to post this for nearly three weeks. Ever since the site was 'upgraded')

I started back at the gym last week and as soon as the GFM saw me she said she was putting "a couple" of Balance classes back on the timetable. I can't wait. There's also a cardio dance class replacing Zumba - participants were told by the GFM that the original instructor broke his ankle so the class was changed; according to a friend who works at the gym the bloke's ankles are perfectly fine... This dance class is described as "like BodyJam but a bit less technical". That was a pretty accurate description and everyone had a blast doing it. I did think that some of the moves seemed vaguely familiar when Killing In The Name and Voodoo People were played... Hope things are turning out OK for you on the Balance front and that the post-Xmas influx will increase the numbers in your classes so that they keep them on the timetable.

They cancelled Balance at my gym :-( We're getting a new GFM and she's told me that it will be back on the timetable early next year but I'm waiting to see it before I believe it. I know it wasn't fair on the bloke behind the desk who had nothing to do with the decision but the sight of him facing a number of infuriated women when they heard the news of the cancellation was rather amusing.

Hi There, Yes, you should do Balance. NOW! I would love to do it if someone could inject the chorey straight into my brain every three months! Just too busy...my main job is personal trainer and that takes up lots of time. I'm a Calisthenics girl from about age 6 and represented ACT for quite a few years. Also taught ballroom,so Vive suits me well as it has elements of both. Also concentrating on my running training this year and next, so maybe Balance will feature down the track... We've just had a gymnastics coach join our PT team (another Madeleine).Wonder if you know her from the gym scene. (She's at S.C) Did you do your training here in Canberra? I only do Vive at other Fernwoods. Was doing it at Fitness First (what a MASSIVE GF room!!) but it went off the timetable. Wrong demographic for Vive... Anyway, get your ass off to Balance training and come and work for us! Mad x

Hi, there! Did you see the BJ51 tracklist? It will be the best quater ever, I promise!! By the way, I started BB (which is called BodyHealing in JP) 4wks ago, just like you started BJ recently. What a coincidence! I'm sure I will love it! See you!

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! So now we can be friends both places! (truth be told, I am always, and i mean like 24/7 ALWAYS on facebook) nothing ever gets by me there! hahaha BTW, I LOVE and cannot express how much I appreciate that there is someone else in this world that likes to write "novels". They show that you care and really mean what you say and feel it is important to fully communicate with that other person. SO THANK YOU! I love it!!! As for RPM, the only part of you that wont like it will be your crotch :/ It is a fantastic class, and the feeling of riding on a horse and extreme soreness in areas that are rather uncomforatble, WILL GO AWAY! Lol Enjoy class!!!!!!!!!!! ( I know I do! ) Have you ever been to a Quarterly??????

Hey girl! Sorry it has taken forever for me to respond to you! I cannot tell you enough how appreciative I am of you helping me with the Birds Pose. I am trying it out ever day and giving it my all. I will get it one of these days. They way you explained it was so much better than anything I have read on the internet. Thank you thank you thank you thank you! Yes, it is from my special most favorite release. I think that release is so special to me because I was going through alot in my life when I was introduced to BodyFLOW. It helped me get through alot in my life, and there are times when I would just listen to the music from that release and it just helped me get through what i was going through. I think that is why BodyFLOW means so much to me. It is my getaway from real life and the problems that surround me in it. But thank you for your vote and I hope to see it again on another release. How are your classes coming? By the way, are you on facebook?
