Hi Y'all!

I am the mom of 3 cute boys (a 15 yr old and twin 10 yr olds) and have a great husband too!!!!

I started taking Body Pump in 1998 when my 1st son was 18 months old and have been hooked ever since. Unfortunately I had to spend most of my pregnancy with the twins on bedrest and wasn't allowed to exercise after the 10th week. But when the twins were 6 weeks old... I WAS BACK and with a vengeance. I got certified later that year and have been teaching for over 9 years now.
I so love and believe in this program, I try to instill my joy into my students!!!!!

I do have to admit....my favorite BP accessories are my Nike shox in black and red with PUMP IT embroidered on them. They are soooo cool!!!!! I am on my second pair! And all of my NZ BP tops by Anj....I miss her clothes!

KEEP ON PUMPIN!!!!!

I totally know what you mean. I push form and technique as well. I'm thinking this is not the greatest idea. I know there are always complaints that Pump classes tend to run overtime but, if an instructor has their pre-track dialogue well thought out and practiced, class can get done in 60 minutes. I intro all tracks except for the bicep track and I get done in 60 minutes. I think some of the problem is instructors don't ever practice pre-track speaking...they fall over words and don't have planned ahead what they are going to previes. I don't preview every little thing in each track. For the shoulder track, I'll pick one of the exercises and demo/talk about it than start the track. Instructors also fall into the trap of letting people mess around and waste time between tracks. I give my classes so much time to change weights and watch/listen to me intro the next track, I start the music and those walking around and wasting time are left behind. I know that sounds cold but, it gets to the point that if I want to keep the class running on time, I have to get people to move and not mess around. People will waste time like crazy if its allowed. My issue with taking the 30 second breaks out mostly is new people are going to be very lost. Unless I'm told by my GFM that we have to stop doing the breaks, I'll keep doing the track intro's. What do you think you'll do?

Hey Angi! I admire...actually I'm bowing at you teaching at 5:30 am! That's tough! I understand how that would wear on you after a whle with teaching other classes in the same day. I love 69! We're probably not launching it for a month yet..April is when I'm thinking we'll launch it. Its lots of fun and I love the leg tracks. I wasn't aware about taking out the 30 second breaks. Is this info on the dvd? I've not watched the dvd yet just read the notes and listening to the cd so far. So, they want us to not do the pre-track instruction any longer? Hmmm, I have mixed feelings about this. I know most people don't pay attention to the pre-track instructions any longer which is a shame. But, I'm thinking taking away the pre-track instructions also takes away some of the tradition of Pump and taking the time to explain some key points of the exercises. I probably won't stop pre-introing certain tracks like chest, back, tri's, squats and lunges. What do you think you'll do?

Hi Angi! How are your Pump classes going? We're plugging along here. Members love Pump 68 and so do I. Tough workout and love the triceps track. How many times do you teach Pump per week. I teach it 3x. Lyndle
