Where do you teach LES MILLS™ classes?
I run my own gym business and we only offer LES MILLS classes at the studio. I also teach LES MILLS classes at my own gym in Ulsan Korea.
Tell us a little bit about your background. What led you into the fitness industry?
I’ve been working in the fitness for 13 years and teaching LES MILLS programmes for the past 10 years. If I didn’t get to know about Les Mills, I might have started working in another industry.
What is your favorite program and track?
This question is hard to answer, because it is like “do you like father or mother more?” for me. Every program has its own strength and attraction. But if I have to answer it, I’d like to answer “BODYCOMBAT” and Track No. 7.
What do you love about teaching?
Being on stage with flash lighting, great music, and great members. When I’ve connected with all members, I feel great!
What has been your biggest accomplishment/most rewarding moment?
The answer of this question is at the ONE LIVE Shanghai, THE ONE! Absolutely!
Tell us how you pass on your motivation to others?
There will be a lot of ways to pass it. Sometimes strongly, sometimes softly, restrained breath and restrained eye contact, simple and clear coaching, all these things are combined in together, then make Fitness Magic and then deliver this magic to the members!
Do you have a favorite quote or piece of advice?
If you don’t give up, you never fail!
What’s your best fitness tip?
Not only Fitness tip but Les Mills tip also, the answer is Practice. I think endless practice can make the best instructor. There is no shortcut to being a good instructor without practice.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
There are lots of temptation against fit lifestyle.
For example, Chicken and Beer. In Korean we call this “CHIMAC”
Beer and Soju (Bomb). In Korean we call this “SOMAC”
These are the most guilty pleasure for me.
Describe yourself in one word.
Roly-poly.
I’d like to describe myself as a Roly-poly toy.
I kept falling and getting back up repeatedly over the past 10 years.
I’ve withstood long period. My heart is getting stronger.
And finally, Les Mills is about to be established in the Korea Market.
So I want to describe myself as Roly-poly toy.
