Where do you teach LES MILLS classes?
I teach LES MILLS™ classes at SELECTION FITNESS GmbH. SELECTION FITNESS has 6 studios in the area around Aachen. I teach 14 classes each week.
Tell us a little bit about your background. What led you into the fitness industry?
For me doing sports is essential for my life. My passion is to be a trainer and let all of my participants feel what I feel when doing LES MILLS classes.In 1996 I started as a freestyle instructor. First I started with Hip-Hop, Aerobic/Step-Aerobic and Indoor cycling classes. I´m a certified Personal Trainer for Young Professionals, who aim to be more successful at work by doing sport. Since 2009 I have been a BODYPUMP™ trainer and soon I found out that Les Mills is the perfect way of being myself in expressing my spirit in each classes. I´ve been infected by the concept and aims of the love-mark “LMI”. Now I teach the following classes impulsively: RPM™, BODYPUMP™, CXWORX™, BODYJAM™, GRIT™, BODYCOMBAT™ and BODYATTACK™.
What is your favorite program and track?
It’s difficult to choose a favorite because I do love all of my programs. But indeed it is RPM Track Interval.
What do you love about teaching?
Sending my spirit to my participant and getting back their passion and success by return.
What has been your biggest accomplishment/most rewarding moment?
The moment I heard my name at Super Quarterly 2015 in Berlin “the ONE is: SWENJA for RPM”
2010 as I got an award for my Hip-Hop Group. It was the last show because we split up
2013/14 as I got the elite status in my Programs BODYPUMP, CX, JAM, RPM and BODYATTACK.
Tell us how you pass on your motivation to others?
It’s my special mixture of passion in doing sports, explaining and showing the technique and having fun in doing LES MILLS and being ourselves in a team as one tribe. Together - each class is improving each of us. For me and my participants likewise.
Do you have a favorite quote or piece of advice?
“During the training sometimes you will hate me but after it you will love me”. “I´m always in your mind”. Because I say “never give up and be proud of you”
What’s your best fitness tip?
Grit classes two times a week and enough sleep and low carb with one cheat-day a week.
Loving what you do, be careful with your body and listen to your heart.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Chocolate and being lazy
What features on your favorite playlist?
A mixture of RPM and BODYPUMP Music. Some German songs
