Meet Parinaz

Posted in Instructors

We’ve just appointed Parinaz as the first Les Mills Tribe Coach for the Middle East and we caught up with her to find out about her journey.

A Tribe Coach supports and guides new and existing Instructors in their local area; from feedback on technique, to finding places to practice, they are your first port of call for all things Les Mills.

So Parinaz, tell us about your career so far…

I’ve always been into sports – I did swimming and basketball from the age of 3. My journey as a Fitness Instructor started in 2010 when I took BODYCOMBAT™ Initial Module Training. Since then I became certified in BODYBALANCE™ and LES MILLS GRIT™. I’ve taught group fitness in the United Arab Emirates, the UK and Iran.

When in the UK, I achieved Elite status in BODYCOMBAT and BODYBALANCE. Since then I moved back to Dubai and I am honoured to be the first Tribe Coach in the Middle East.

I’m also a certified Yoga Instructor and I trained in Swing/Aerial Yoga in Dubai years back.

If you weren’t a fitness Instructor, you would be….

A Stuntwoman!

Tell us a fun fact.

I used to do Robotics.

What’s your ideal day off?

To wake up and have a healthy (and big) breakfast and a GOOD coffee, go to the beach in the afternoon, and movies in the evening.

So, why did you become a Les Mills Instructor?

When I was a gym member, each time I participated in Les Mills classes I would leave the class feeling happy and energetic. After a while I just wanted to be able to do the same for other people and decided to take my first initial module training. That’s how my journey started.

Why did you decide to apply for the role of Tribe Coach?

I find it very rewarding when you can be part of someone’s progress and I love sharing my knowledge and experience with people. This role not only gives me the chance to help Instructors through their journeys, it also helps me to evolve as an Instructor and educator.

Thanks Parinaz!

If you think you’d make a great Tribe Coach, find out more by asking one of our Trainers in the official Facebook group. Check it out here. To become a Tribe Coach, you need Elite Instructor status which can be achieved through AIM 2 training.
