Have you had the opportunity to exercise while flying through space? Or to re-energize while taking in stunning alpine scenery? Last week that’s exactly what hundreds of Amsterdam locals did.
‘The Project’ by Les Mills and Reebok hit Amsterdam on September 10. Perched on the Museumplein, this futuristic workout box, attracted hundreds of fitness fans and transported them into the world of IMMERSIVE FITNESS™.
For three days the Amsterdam IMMERSIVE FITNESS™ classes ran back-to-back. Heart rates went through the roof and minds were blown as participants enjoyed amazing music, choreography and instruction combined with wrap-around projection. The classes were packed and the atmosphere buzzing.
Amsterdam resident Bridget Tapper tried all three IMMERSIVE FITNESS™ workouts and found them all very cool. “The Trip was my favorite. By focusing on the screens around you, you forgot about the time and how knackered you were and just kept riding. It was so amazing how you actually felt like you were going up and down the hills, and round the corners. It really felt like the whole floor of the studio was moving.” Bridget says that if others get the opportunity to try IMMERSIVE FITNESS™ they should jump at it, “It’s a completely different experience from normal fitness classes.”
The next stops on the The Project’s European tour are Paris (September 27 - 29) and Barcelona (October 24 - 26). You can find out more and register for your IMMERSIVE FITNESS™ experience here: http://www.lesmills.fr/immersivefitness/
