We know that the ability to livestream Les Mills workouts to your members is important, so we’ve been working on a solution to our music licensing requirements that will allow this. We previously provided special royalty-free music releases as a short-term solution, but you will now be able to livestream regular Les Mills releases through the platform of your choice. You may need to use cover music in these livestreams, so please check with your local music society before starting.
The livestreaming of regular releases must be done via a licensed club with a certified Instructor, and an additional livestream music license is required. Just as with live classes, you can only livestream programs that your club is licensed in, and your Instructor must be certified in that program. Livestream classes can be done remotely, or you can simultaneously livestream live classes in your facility.
To help you livestream successfully, we have created a full guide that covers music licensing requirements, key business rules and set-up recommendations. If you are interested in livestreaming Les Mills classes, please contact your local Les Mills market team who will be able to provide you with the guide and talk through any questions you may have.
Just as with live programs, Instructors are not able to livestream original releases on their own, without a club. We will continue to make royalty-free releases available to Instructors to use while clubs are still closed.
The best way to receive additional guidance and answers to your questions will be to register for our upcoming webinar today. Once you’ve registered, even if you’re unable to join us live, you will receive the recording to watch On Demand anytime. This is true for any of our webinars!
