First up it is ideal to get associated with a facility that offers the program you want to teach. You can find your nearest facility here. Once you’ve identified the facility you need to work with, contact the facility’s group fitness manager and find out if they’re keen to sponsor your training. Get in touch with your local Les Mills team to find out about upcoming initial training events in your region. Once you book your spot at an initial training you’ll be sent all you need to prepare. During the initial training you’ll be taught all the techniques you need to create life-changing fitness experiences in every class. At the end of the training you’ll be assessed, and if you pass you’ll be granted ‘trainee’ status. If not, you’ll have the opportunity to go away, practice and then submit a video for assessment.Initial Training
To become fully certified you need to send us a video of you teaching – just so we can make sure your workouts are safe and effective and you’re instructing to your full potential. Get a good few weeks of honing your instructor skills, record a video, complete the necessary documentation and get it across to your local Les Mills team.
We will review and assess your assessment video. Once this has been done we’ll get in touch with either a 'PASS', which means congratulations you’re a fully certified LES MILLS™ instructor, or a 'RESUBMIT', which means you could do with some more time to polish your technique.
